Looked excellant there for the last 30 minutes. Found more space, played some great balls and Sturridge lead the line well.

Is this something we will see alot more of now?

Think having it as an option bodes well, as does Borini's return.

With these three fit and running, and if we can give Suarez and Sterling rests periodically we will start to look a much better team.

I'm very meh about Borini but hopefully he can kick on now after his injury.

We need goalscorers and he seems lacking.

We also need options, and having him and Sturridge fit will ease the burden on Suarez and Sterling (In terms of game time, not goals) which will help greatly. Hoping the extra competition for places should spur them on too.

i've no fucking clue as to why people think borini cant score
I never said he couldn't, he just hasn't in the league so far so doesn't fill me with the confidence Gerrard, Studge or Suarez does. Studge has scored more in 45 mins away to Utd than Borini has in what 10 games?

because we were so sensational in our first few games, creating chances for fun? We were shite and adapting.

No doubt but from what I've seen so far he doesn't look a natural goalscorer at all, hope I'm wrong but I see him as a 5 - 10 goal a season player max. He works hard but looks very raw.

He wasnt in the hole as such........... He just didn't have to lead the line, so was free to roam. He pulled left and right, dropped deep, and went over the top.
Agreed that it looked a lot more fluent as an attacking force, with lots of movement and space created.

It looked to be like he dropped in where Carrick was occupying. He even put in a couple of good tackles and his cross field ball to Sturridge was superb. I think we might see alot more of this.

It's probably because he's played a dozen games for us and only has one goal.
His first few games where against ridiculous opposition when the whole team was playing shite

If he plays he'll score goals. As I said elsewhere I think he'll be a purple patch striker. He gets another goal then he'll score about 6 in 8 games.

That may be true, but I was just giving you a clue as to why people think he can't score goals. I'll give it to you again, it's because he hasn't.

Pah!

It's not like we're not used to strikers being a bit shit initially then coming good

As long as it doesn't effect his goal scoring too much. I suspect Suarez's finishing this season is more than sturidge is capable of. Both scoring will do me
