Well they're making it up. Oddly enough the FA staff are on holiday on the 1st Jan. The paperwork will be processed on Wednesday. Whether it will be done in time is moot as he has not trained with the squad and would not have been drilled for a role. My guess would be sub, if at all.

Eggert Jonsson and Frimpong comes to mind.

Hopefully he's on the bench. Moot or not, Suarez met his teammates the same day as his debut. Means nothing.

I don't think anyone can seriously consider Ray's opinion as anything but claptrap. he is one of the worst commentators I've ever heard, some of the shite he comes out with is mind-numbingly stupid.

We'll have to see but I think this is a good deal. 12M for a 23 y.o. England fringe player with great potential. Strong, fast, a little bit too greedy but then virtually all strikers are. Certainly should be a big step up from Carroll and Borini and help us put matches beyond the reach of the opposition before their confidence rises and we end up on the receiving end.

I think we'll see 3 signings (Sturridge, Ince and a surprise).

I just spent 2 days chatting with a good Chelsea pal of mine who insists that although Sturridge has all the qualities needed, he rates his pace very highly, he is way too frustratingly selfish.... always shoots rather than looks.... could be just what we need is what I reckon.
