It looks like, with a year left on his contract at City, Sterling will be in the move this summer. The latest rumours have him heading to Chelsea for 35m…

…which surely has to be a bargain pick up for a 27 year old multiple winner in his prime years?

Yes, we’ve all hated him and he still can’t seem to strike a ball from distance properly, but his time at City under Pep has seen him grow as a player into one of the most positionally astute attackers around with a goal scoring record to boot. And of course, he has speed and stamina to burn.

35m seems almost tempting for Klopp to bring him home? He could play anywhere across the front line and would be the most dangerous of subs too, a real difference maker.

Thoughts? (No Sterling / Raheem ‘jokes’)

I'd have taken Raheem back in a minute, but Sterling just isn't cutting it for me. Apart from anything, he is hated, and that's not a good place to be.

I wouldn't be opposed, I just don't know if he'd work in a klopp system.

Obviously won't be coming here but 35m for Sterling is a steal. We paid the same amount for Oxlade fucking Chamberlain and that was 5 years ago

Can't forgive him for the That whole "I want to win trophies" thing...

Just love watching him playing for City and him constantly missing out on the CL, Super Cup and World Club Championship
Knowing it could have been him had he stuck with Liverpool instead of his head being turned by the City money.

So No...Fuck him, even if he was offered to us for free

However talented the little toerag is (and he is, albeit with limitations which others rightly describe above), IMO the way he left would make it impossible for such a comeback to work. It could very well turn out like Pogba's return to Old Toilet. My guess would be he wants to go back to Lahndan anyway.

Already have Diaz, Jota and now Nunez who favour the left channel. He'll be a decent buy for someone at that price, but I can't imagine we'll be remotely interested.
