This Spurs game is going to be a massive test for us.

Under previous managers we have struggled down there and I am really looking at this to see how Brendan manages tactics, sets the team up and how we do.

Very interesting fixture for us considering we are unbeaten in 8 games

Agreed. Teams like Spurs are the primary target for us at the moment. This will be a litmus test for our season so far.

Brendan rarely delivers any positive results/surprises at this point. It may change, but a win against a top club in the league doesn't seem to happen for him. A winning draw is the best to expect (you know, losing 2-0, come back, draw 2-2). Hate to not be all unicorns and rainbows, but it's the main gripe I have. Nice Video, shame about the song.

Gold star to Suarez for not getting himself a yellow and missing this, i'd hate to be going there without him.

We could do with a bit of class and steel in midfield for this one, the right balance is imperative because they've got a lot of athleticism and we're kinda sluggish and lightweight.

Rough boys don't walk away
I wanna buy you leather
Make noise try and talk me away
We can't be seen together

What does it being a test really mean. We have a series of equally weighted quizzes week after week, and we're just good enough to not require special help.

Very true. They're a pacy side with Lennon and Bale on the flanks and Defoe is in red hot form atm.

Our record at WHL is awful and i'd be surprised if we get anything.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking......

I hope so. We struggle big time at WHL. Bale and Lennon against our full backs fills me with little confidence.

Hopefully we'll be a better match now then last year....

Won't be too disappointed to come away with a point. The good news is that their defensive record hasn't been exactly sparkling, so if Suarez and Sterling are on song, we can hopefully get a goal.

Was going to say three at the back like we did at Chelsea but Chelsea have less width and are always looking for the ball through, Spurs will constantly look to get in behind the fullback, so:

-----------------Reina------------------
Johnson--Skrtel--Agger--Enrique
--------Henderon--Allen--------------
-Gerrard------Suso-------Sterling--
----------------Suarez-----------------

Gerrard to help Johnson double up on Bale, and Sterling to give Lennon and co something to think about. I'd be half tempted to play either Shelvey or Sahin though.

I like that team Mark, and we would see Gerrard coming inside whilst Johnson overlaps and Hendo filling in the void at the back which Bale would be lurking around.

If we can get Sterling and Johnson attacking down the right, it will force Bale to have to track back some more.

-----------------Reina------------------
Wisdom--Skrtel--Agger--Johnson
--------Henderon--Allen--------------
-Sterling-----Gerrard----Enrique--
----------------Suarez-----------------

We need a draw out of this, a draw would be a great result and would maintain our form, a win would be sensational for confidence, however I think it'll be a draw, 1-1. Is there any rumoured or clothing based theory line ups out there.

Can't see BR shunting Gerrard out wide when he needs a rest/dropped.

So expect him to have a blinder tonight!
