Im hugely disappointed with Mr Rodgers.
Hes reverting to ALL manager type and being a smart arse and doing dumb shit because he like ALL managers thinks hes cleverer than he is and knows better than to do the sensible.

I'm being serious.

Your right - just listening to the radio and thats what seems to be happening:-

Either we will somehow get 4th - VERY unlikely
OR we end up fighting to avoid the drop zone for most of the season.

The only difference this season is that we seem to be touching distance of both reaching a CL place and reaching the drop zone. Most likely we will end up between 9th and 14th position at this rate.

When you look at the results that Swansea had last season - you cannot but help notice that like LFC last season their run in the PL was inconsistent at best - yes they had a few high profile wins but they also had around 11 draws. After14 league games they had 14 points. It seems that LFC are following the same trajectory this season - this implies to me that he is BR is not capable of taking us forward with what can be considered a better squad on paper. Its just not happening and the thing that really pisses me off is that we really cannot even sack him. We have to stick through this season and its just pain and pain !!!

The Southern Comfort advert has just come on. All of the above is a mere minor dot of unhappiness.

Relax guys!!! Wonderman may be back

Lucas Leiva ‏@LucasLeiva87

Disappointing result as we had enough chances to win the game. Hoping to be available for the weekend. we keep together more then ever.YNWA

We don't have a team full of cowards, we've got a team that is completely bereft of top attacking around Luis Suarez, and crucially lacks any creativity behind him linking with midfield. So we play a lot of wing play as we should, but without the players particularly for it, and when we do free up space in midfield, or get someone free cutting in from the wing, we end up with scoring opportunities falling to players who haven't scored routinely at any point in their career and never will. This midfield isn't going anywhere in attack despite the amazing and constant movement of Suarez. The only rays of hope are the idea that the promising Shelvey will play to his potential and finish opportunities (at least there's a chance), that somehow Gerrard will find some understanding with Suarez in the same way he did with Torres, as well as a time machine, or that somehow when Lucas gets back, the balance will be returned to the force.

None of it is likely to happen. We can see incremental improvement in this side, but it just doesn't have the quality to make this system work. That doesn't mean it's a waste of time trying to make it work, but it does if we don't bring significantly better suited players and more depth in goal scoring. Otherwise it's a prettier new version of the do nothing machine we've been for several years now. If we bring the right players in, the work we've put in figuring out how to play this style will be useful.

The good point is Southampton ship goals for fun.

We should be able to open them up enough times to score a couple.
