"@Marcotti: Spanish media reporting De Gea to Manchester United is done. 20m Euros."

So, does Pepe "Get us" more, now ?

"@OliverKayTimes: Alex Ferguson on rumours of David De Gea deal: "There's always speculation on who we're going to sign. I can't tell you""

The limited bit I have seen of him he has looked a decent keeper but it will be interesting to see how he copes with the Premiersip and all those crosses into a crowded box.
It was a bit of a weak point for Pepe when he first came over.

He still just fucking fists everything like a big hardcore porn star. Crosses and pepe like.

Crosses and boxes always makes me think of that 70s scarey movie
What was it, can't remember

Hopefully Reina sees what his mate Torres is going through that the grass isn't always greener and sticks about for a few more years.

Was Macca the last player to leave us and actually win something ?

Atletico Madrid confirm United offer accepted. Now up to De Gea to agree terms. (via @GuillemBalague )

Hahahaha.

I can't imagine there is another 20 year old keeper with the same level of potential and experience. I've not seen anything of A.Madrid this season, but he looked pretty capable when I saw 'em in previous.

Weirdly I think he looks a lot like Van Der Sar as well.

Surely, even if he gets the medal, he cant consider that its something he's won? He's contributed nothing. And his career will still have been a big bag of shit since he left us.

Are Arsenal really that much more an attractive proposition anyway? Unless he's after the bright lights. Will Fabregas even be there?

De Gea is class, but very young to become first choice (which surely he'd have to be, for the price they'll get charged) at a club in a foreign country where there'll be so much pressure on him. Ferguson's committed some bloopers in the past where keepers are concerned. Let's hope this turns out to be another.

Whenever I've seen De Gea he's been nothing special. Of course he is excellent for his age and I might have watched the wrong matches but I'd actually be quite happy if he was their goalkeeper signing as he has imo a relatively big chance of flopping(that would also mean they are not signing Pepe). He has a quite slim frame too so might well have problems dealing with the physical aspect of the English game.

I agree he's a class keeper. He doesn't have Pepe's presence or distribution, but then not many keepers in world football do. I think Pepe will stay but will be truly gutted if he leaves, it will be a massive, massive loss, make no mistake.

hope that is correct.

Masher has hardly been brilliant since he left but will win medals. He has only played 21 times in 8 months for them but will get his medals he craved, the big Git !!

Talksport yesterday said Arsenal tried to get Reina in January so they will be back
