Liverpool's Spain youth international Daniel Pacheco has agreed a new three-year deal at Anfield.

Another Anfield youngster, striker Nathan Ecclestone, is also on the brink of signing a new contract.

Everton target Rasmus Elm is set to visit two more clubs this week before he decides on which side to join.

The highly-rated Kalmar midfielder has reportedly received five offers from clubs after impressing for Sweden during the recent European Under 21 Championship.

Manchester City and Valencia are two of the clubs who have been linked with the player, while he has reportedly already been to Liverpool.

Er, I think the 'going to Liverpool' bit probably refers to him being an Everton target. But never mind - Rasmus Elm sounds like an anagram anyway.

Good news about Pacheco, and hope he actually gets the chance to play for us before that contract expires.

Couldn't even sell poor Lindfield, eh? He actually looked alright I remember in the FA Youth Cup but wasn't up to much in the reserves - works exceptionally hard but the talent isn't quite there.

I'm amazed we haven't done more in terms of getting rid of our reserve players whether it's by loan, sale or contract termination. There must be 30+ players in that squad and I remember reading that the already short reserve season has been cut by two games this year. Madness.
