So with tensions running a little high with Sunday only a couple of days away - I thought it would be good to reflect a little on some of the not obvious highs of what has been a great season.

1) I've loved the emergence of Flanny Alves - His monster tackle on Soldado was an absolute beaut.

2) Not entirely LFC related but I loved it all the same. Neville's commentary during the Manc Vs Fulham game. His little wimper when Fulham equalised in the last minute was hilarious..... 'Oh Dear'.....

3) Jonjo's goal and spontaneous applause from Anfield and then Jonjo's little thumbs up to the Kop was class all round.

4) Sterlings sublime through ball to Sturridge for the opener against Swansea.

5) Carra's 'No one wants to grow up to be a Gary Neville' was brilliant.

No 5 was great ... they've been a very good duo.

Neville's comments about if it was between City and us for the league.

* Suarez's pass to Sterling for a goal when he had a 1 on 1 vs Cardiff I think
* Sturridge's return assist & goal vs Stoke
* 20 crazy minutes against Arsenal
* Evra for Suarez's goal at Old Toilet.
* Last but not least, the return of SCM to the standards of yesta-year. Few WUMS, and some great threads and and banter

Several of Stevie's passes this year have been breathtaking... Fulham and West Ham for the first goal in each game spring to mind, but there have been many, not all leading to goals. I also loved his raw, gutteral reaction to scoring the opener Vs the bitters at Anfield - Gave me coosebumps.

The goals of the season that weren't

1. Suarez smashing the post vs Arsenal

2. Suarez's 40 yard freekick in the same game

3. Suarez's sublime first touch pass to Sturridge which he pushed just wide, same game

4. Suarez chip onto the bar vs West Ham

5. Ditto

6. Coutinho's magic in midfield and pass through to Henderson which he chipped wide, against Arsenal

7. Coutinho firing straight at Hart vs Man City, after one of the passing moves of the season.

8. I forgot this: Sturridge absolutely hammering the bar against some team back in the autumn. No backlift, about 20 yards out, right side of the are, Kop end. I think it was against West Brom, but could've been Cardiff.

Mick hucknalls face

Sturridges goal against wba. I couldn't stop talking about it afterward

Sturridges goal vs stoke on his comeback

Henderson's celebrations

The entire build up to the 2nd goal vs spurs away

The geezer who took that pic of agbonlahor when he fell over the hoardings

Some of those already mentioned
plus
1. Every time one of ours scores and turns to acknowledge - and encourage the crowd to do so as well - the creator of the chance.
2. Henderson's gamboling after our goals.
3. When Skrtel scores. He just goes crazy.
4. Mignolet with a crucial save.
5. We win a penalty at Old Trafford. And again. And again!
:
:
... and some non-LFC ones:
6. Moyes celebrates against Fulham.
7. Chelsea lose to Villa.
8. John Terry's own goal against Palace.

... and a most-disliked moment:
9. Mourinho disappears into the tunnel before the game ends. What a dick. Our entire dugout should do the same to him when we're 3-0 up at Anfield with a couple of minutes to go.

I think the Mignolet penalty save on the opening day against Stoke.
We should have been further ahead but after seventy minutes you just sensed that they were going to equalize and once the penalty was awarded it was simply a case of here we go again.
When Mignolet saved the penalty and the follow up shot as the crowd went mental there was a sense that maybe things had changed after all.
Maybe this season it was going to be different.

Plus it was the only time I have been to a game all season😎

Not to overdo things but, as well as the sheer comedy value of the situation, I liked the message it conveyed about the spirit in the side.

The goals of the season that weren't

1. Suarez smashing the post vs Arsenal

Would have been goal of the season

Suarez's two goals against Cardiff (first game), its the way he took them, neither of then were goals of the season, but they were both very good, and it looked like he wasn't even trying it was so easy for him, he takes the piss. Ditto that goal where he basically crawled past a defender. Spurs away, and Arsenal at home were definitely the best points, I was laughing at parts during those games because we were so outrageously good. Thats why I think we deserve to win the league, no one this season has played as well as we did against Arsenal, god I hope we play like that again on Sunday.

Perfect. But, then we would be as low-class as he is. Tough call.

Buying a Monday morning paper and were on the back page for the right reasons..!
Really good shout that. The day after the Old Trafford mauling I popped to the garage and bought about 4 papers - The dude behind the counter said 'I'm guessing you were pleased with the result then' 😀

I got the a paper on the way into work a few weeks back and I think it was the back 5 pages were all about lfc

There's been a page every day this week about us gunning for the league in the papers.. Can't fecking wait for Sunday
