Rafa aint done that bad in the transfer market... All about trying to add quality and recoup where he can and he has done fairly well, given the funds he has had available..

again this evident in the immanent Johnson transfer (no way is it the reported 18.5 million though).. a good proportion of it will be recouped... and if we get our hands on Tevez, you will bet your bottom dollar their will be more funds from sale of players to aid towards that too...

so who is gonna go ?

more money will come in from the sales of Dossena, Babel, Voronin, Itandje, Arbeloa + many ressies...

Babels replacement is already at the club... Leto... (Benitez will be trying his all to get his permit this time around as he rates the lad)

The only other major signing for us will be Tevez, i guess. Johnson is the 'high flying winger' you all want... I think Johnson & Kuyt will combine very well... Give us good balance on the right wing...

Degen will stay... (mainly because no fcuker will want the injury prone bloke..) apart from carra he will be the only realistic option to back up to Johnson...

You'll get there in the end Jono.

*goes back to spliffy* 😉

Every need to speculate headwand otherwise there'd be little to talk about until mid/end August..

Nice article - cant believe Morientes was only here 1 season... sure it was 2 or 3 horrendus periods.. shows the value for money we got in 2004 with Xabi and Garcia vs prices now..

He was given the money although not as much money as Chelsea managers had over the past 4-5 years but seriously he has done averagely on signing players. I'd rather measure the success of the players he bought on trophies we won. No Premiership just yet so we have to relax a bit and don't get too excited until we win the elusive title.
