The squad that's flown out:
Jones, Johnson, Enrique, Sahin, Suarez, Cole, Assaidi, Henderson, Coates, Downing, Carragher, Allen, Reina, Suso, Sterling, Shelvey, Coady, Skrtel, Wisdom.

Stevie has an illness and Agger/Lucas rested.

I'd love to see Coady get a chance. Maybe set him up for WH on the weekend.

----Cole----Suarez-----Assaidi

What's the situation in terms of qualifying?

Do we have to win?

Also... what time is the game?

I would have expected this to be the hardest game in the group - and am not overly cconfident we'll progress. Blew our best chance against Young Boys. What would happen if we won and so did Young Boys? 3 teams on 10 points - I assume we'd go through as we'd be 2-1-1 in the 3-team mix.

Ah, I forgot that Udinese have 4 points. They're out no matter what, but if both Liverpool and Young Boys lose, Young Boys qualifies. In this scenario, Young Boys will have gained the most points from games against the sides in question:

Young Boys:- 6 points v Udinese; 1 point v Liverpool
Udinese:- 6 points v Liverpool (if they beat us); 0 v Young Boys
Liverpool:- 4 points v Young Boys; 0 v Udinese (if we lose)

So as long as we win, or both Young Boys and us draw our games, we're through.

Tie breaking criteria from the "Regulations of the UEFA Europa League 2012 - 2015 Cycle", Section V Competition System Article 7.

7.0.5 If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of all the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings (in descending order):
a) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;
b) superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;
c) higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question;
d) higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question;
e) if, after having applied criteria a) to d), two teams still have an equal ranking, criteria a) to d) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between
the two teams in question to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria f) to h) apply;
f) superior goal difference from all group matches played;
g) higher number of goals scored from all group matches played;
h) higher number of coefficient points accumulated by the club in question, as well as its association, over the previous five seasons (see paragraph 9.03).

If we win we're through, which is a good way to be, rather than just needing a draw(although other results may make us go through if we don't win). Makes it simple.

Yeah just go for the win and we don't have to bother with the rest. It's surprising that YB beat Udinese twice. I guess Udinese have the 4th worst defence in the Serie A for a reason.

I'd like to see:

-----------------Reina--------------------
----Wisdom--Skrtel--Coates---------
Johnson------------------------Enrique
--------------Henderson-----------------
------Sahin----Suso----Shelvey-------
----------------Suarez--------------------

I thought wing backs and 3 at the back looked good against Chelsea a while back and would like to see it given a go again.

Only if Udinese also doesn't have the same points. If Udinese wins and YB loses, all teams (except Anzhi) have 7, and the head-to-head-to-head advantage then goes to YB (see above breakdown).

I thought the head to head rule was the one who decided that, like in the CL.
If not YB would already be over us in the table
