So is it Carra or the midfield

I think most have seen now that Carra is starting to get shown up a bit when faced with a pacey player on the break. But is it his fault or are we lacking the cover in midfield to intercept these attacks?

I really can't help but feel if Gerrard was in the middle with Masher today West ham wouldn't have had the chance to run at us as much as they did. Lucas simply offers very little in an important part of the park and when you compare him to the defensive shift Alonso used to put in he's coming up short.

Yes Carra has been getting caught out but I don't think we would see him getting exposed as much with Gerrard in he middle.

I'd much rather that combo until Aquaman is fit than the "did nothing wrong, but didn't dazzle" Lucas in the middle.

Carragher isnt as good as he once was and is highly over-rated on this site.
thats the problem.. not lucas (even though he is shit)

Yesterday it was carra. Why you are trying to lay the blame at Lucas i don't know. Lucas played really well and has done for most of the season. If anything he hjas been performing better than mascherano.

First goal was Carra simply done on pace on the right wing so i would say lucas was in the clear there, second goal Carra misjuged the flight of the ball so unless Lucas was controlling carras eyes then i would say it was Carras fault again.

Lucas defensively has really improved this season, I haven't seen miss to many tackles and i haven't heard any groans at anfield atall this season towards him. Also i haven't seen to many Lucas is shit threads neither so he must be having a good season.

Carragher got raped, it had nothing to do with Lucas.

End of thread.
