Not as heated as their confrontation last year, and Costa was very much under control of Skittles (& Sakho).

I'd like to say one thing - Skittles could have made a meal out of Costa's kick out (which should have been red). He could have wiggled on the floor, he could have asked for a card, he didn't. He got pissed, then when Costa backed down, he offered him a hand to lift him up. I wish more players acted like that and stopped the stupid shit we see so often (diving, asking for cards, etc).

I particularly liked Skittles forearm smash into Costa into the advertising boards 3-4 mins before Costa's kick out. Skittles reaction to that was boss.

Yes, it was great to see. I also liked Klopps handling of the questions afterwards.
Just a shrug and said Skrtel and Costa are to hard playing guys. End off.

Someone already mentioned this, I think, but what a difference between the two teams.
Costa kicks out at Skrtel and Skrtel doesn't react.
Lucas pokes a leg out and the referee is surrounded by Chelsea players baying for a red card.

I am so glad this contrast has been identified between the two teams. It actually upset me badly when they were trying to get Lucas sent off when only a few minutes ago Skrtel was literally being a fucking MAN and trying not to get Costa sent off. Skrtel saw Costa deliberately kick at him but did not go pshyco over it and act like a girl.

Skrtel should have writhed around in pain on the floor and got the cunt sent off. Beat that neanderthal at his own game.

Costa literally (actually "literally", no exaggeration) does something that warrants a red card every game. Yet I don't think he's been sent off for Chelsea. Outrageous. Biggest twat to ever play in the league.

S

Skrtel beasted him the entire game and I was so impressed at keeping his composure when kicked at. Even though I really wanted him to jaw Costa something fierce.
I suspect the staff explained to all our players that if Costa did that then not rising to it would piss him off all the more.

Easier said than done though!

It's the kind of instruction that tends to be forgotten when we are losing and the players are feeling the pressure.

The manager change has helped relieve that pressure, and players are playing a bit more freely....opposite of what Chelsea players are experiencing at this moment.

The media almost always compares Costa dirty play with Suarez. Suarez have done three dirty things on the pitch in his career. He isn't acting like a pig week in week out.

Suarez is one of the fairest players out there. Not a single red card in his career. Costa is dirty fucking cheating piece of shit. Sure Suarez play acts but so do almost every player out there.

Except when he was sent off for handball against Ghana.

You can't compare Costa to anyone else because no one cheats and acts like him. He should be banned for life because what he is doing isn't football. He acts like a hooligan. He deliberately tries to injure other players in almost every game.

You have a fair case if you say that he could have been and probably should have been sent off in almost every game he played the last few years. Not in five or six game or nine or ten. He could have been sent off easily 50+ times the last few years.

Actually he had one in Uruguay and one against Ghana, to be pedantic, the one in Uruguay for touching the referee. But I agree entirely with your point.

Actually, it looks more like Costa is holding his hand. Skrtel may have offered his arm as a reflex action, being a nice guy, but Costa grabs it and won't let go, because he knows he's kicked out, and wants the ref to think - if he'd seen it - they were all matey. Snidey cunt that he is.

IF Skrtel had reacted, Costa would be looking at another ban.
