Sideshow Bob = OUR NEW LB

Benfica was a very pleasant surprise overall and one player in particular looked like a real prospect (apart from Di Maria who'll be far to expensive for us).

David Luiz.

In the first game he impressed me on several occasions keeping tracks with Torres even when he was at top speed. He simply couldn't outmuscle him and as he's got loads of pace to burn too Torres came second in most of their direct encounters.

Normally he plays at CB I'm told but he played brilliantly at the LB slot in both Liverpool-games. I was thoroughly impressed with him.

Beeing only 22-years-old he's probably not going to come that cheap but he'll not cost the world either I reckon and as he can play both at CB and LB we should consider making him one of top priorities this Summer.

The fact that he looks a bit like Sideshows Bob just make him even more awesome.

I don't remember him doing much at Anfield. Was he good going forward?

I only remember Kuyt having a great game at RM, megging a few players and turning some of them inside out on occasion.

So if Luiz was the LB, surely couldn't have been that good, could he?

He did well in the first game KHL, though he was quite dirty too, going through the back of players a few times.

I bought him a couple of seasons back on football manager, they always had him down as quite slow though I think, I have to say he looked fairly quick to me.

I had the perfect view of the kuyt Luiz battle in the first half and luiz was immaculate. FAntastic touch, great vision and quality skill. The second half he was over the other side of the pitch so I can't comment on his contribution there

We'll go for him in 2 years, when he has played consistently well and ended up being a high money target for the man united or another big club.

We are in desperate need of a left back though and has he ticks both boxes he should at least be considered.

But yeah Kjaer is a done deal.
