whose had a shocker this season?

Defoe?!

4 goals this season in the epl? Shocked when I saw this figure? Dont watch spurs that much, but he should be at his peak now, what's happened to him?
 
I think that Defoe has been injured a bit this season.

Not that I care.

Edin Dzeko.

I know it's half a season. And he deserves time etc, etc. But everytime I've seen him play for City he's been nothing more than 'meh'.

Admittedly, I don't watch City that much.
 
Lampard also had injury problems but when he has played he's been way less effective than in previous seasons. I've a feeling he could be a shock transfer this summer.
 
I used to like Essien as a player but any time I saw him he seems to have lost the spark he had before.

Arshavin has had a stinker and Fabregas hasn't seemed great although he's had injuries.
 
Essien had that knee injury but Drogba hasn't had a good season.

The Chavs started the season like a house on fire and their early form had them tagged as hot favourites for the title but they faded badly and haven't recovered.

Players who you'd maybe think would step up

Mikel, utterly utterly pointless, Or on a random shout Bosseli, 6(7?)M striker for wigan...

Fucking loads of shockers actually...

Rooney didnt even start playing till march.
Torres played well for 2 weeks to get his transfer then got sold.
Gerrard did not play at all ( due to injury granted)
Drogba, Malaria then malarial sulk.
Lampard just wank, plain wank.

For my money those are previously the best players in the league.... all doing precisely fuck all this season.

Van der vaart had a few good games, as did Bale. Kompany at city was excellent. The best players were of the quiet unspectacular variety. Adams at Blackpool, Modric at spurs etc...

Hernandez settled very well as did Suarez... nothing or nobody stood out for me this season, it was just poor.
 
Bassong was shite.. After all the hype.

Dzeko was shit. As i pretty much expected... During highlight reels he would always score a few goals.. They failed to show the 10 opportunities he fucked up. i think Keisling has a similar style but has more hussle to his game.

Arshavings... Amazing last season - laughable this season.

Zhirkov - I thought he was top shit until he joined Chelsea.

Obertan - thought he would be better...

I Could probably name a lot of the man city players - Considering most of them cost more than some countries they have been piss poor. Dunno how they managed to get 3rd though.

Abramovich derailed them when he fired Wilkins. I never rated Wilkins as a player at all, but he's well-liked and respected by the players there.

Came into form at the end of the season though, he was an important player during the business end of the champs league. I think they are a better team with him in there tbh.... i wish the fuck we still had our midfield :'(
