Had a debate with a mate about who we would rather have, torres or zlatan and eto'o. As much as I love torres I think having those two instead of torres for are current squad would be amazing. Yes torres is better than each of those two, but I think the difference is not such that we should turn down two world class strikers. My mate opted for torres. Thought I would do a poll and throw in ronaldo and messi as well, to see which option fans would opt for in respect of our current squad.

Short term - and considering injuries I would also maybe go for 2 being better than 1 because we have no back-up striker of note. Otherwise that would not interest me.

I wouldn't swop Torres for either of Ronaldo / Messi : very different positions and as Jamie Redknapp says "Torres is the best centre forward in the world".

In order of preference of who we need:

Messi
Ronaldo
Eto'o
Zlatan

*Considering Torres is fit.

I love Torres, I don't think there isn't one Liverpool fan out there (bar DB) who doesn't rate him as the best in the world but ... having TWO world class strikers in Eto'o AND Zlatan? How can anyone not want that?

The fact is E'to and yer man are both egoistical and self centred as well as being top, top footy players. They're both not easy guys to have around, though on the upside, of course, they score lots of goals. Could you play them both in the same side anyway?

Torres loves this club, knows his LFC history, as well as being one of the best in the world. He's irreplaceable, even with two of his peers.

Zlatan and Eto'o obviously.

x2 on that. I wouldn't give up Torres for any one player on that list but to have two top-class strikers, ego cases or not, would clearly be the best option.

Torres. An LFC Icon.

Wouldn't swap him for anyone player and not even for Eto'o and Zlatan.

I would for Messi and Eto'o though.....

Everyone in 6cm should make this bet for the season.

Eto'o top scorer in Serie A
Zlatan top scorer in La Liga
Torres top scorer in Premiership

168/1 with pp.

I LOVE Torres. It is heartfelt and deep. Do you swap your trusted and beloved companion for two people who have the attributes to be great companions? No. Do you swap your child for two equally happy and beautiful kids? No!! Do you swap your wife for two hot chicks? *wavers*

Torres is a current LFC player and a player on his way to icon status, for that i would not swap him for anyone, not even messi a player i rate as the best in the world

I don't think Zlatan will be top scorer for Barca, let alone the Spanish League.
Still good odds though as I think the pther two will probably do it.

Will he not take penalty duty from Messi? Did he take them for Inter? That would be another few. He will have plenty of opportunities to score anyway.
Forlan is 12/1. Great odds for some one who has won 3 of the last 4 pichicci's (sp??).
Outside bet of Rossi at 28/1 isn't to shabby either.

You could just sell Ibra and Eto'o for almost a combined 100m pounds and buy Torres back with something left over probably.
