William Carvalho is horribly overrated imho.

Ruben Neves all day long as our new dm/playmaker. Fantastic prospect and already a very good player.

Is this a female cover group of that god awful indie band from a few years back?
I knew someone would say something like that.

That group (I assume anyway) adapted their name from what was once an infamous scouting book titled 'Scouting for Boys'.

An infamous scouting book?

Did it actually tell scout masters how to groom the kids?

Have you heard of that old showbiz story of the pisspoor double act Mike and Bernie Winters playing the Glasgow Empire? Mike comes out first, to a mass of groans, and then Bernie appears, prompting someone up in the gods to cry out, 'Oh, Jesus bloody Christ - there's TWO of 'em!' Well, here we go again: Jesus bloody Christ, there's TWO of 'em!

Liverpool are monitoring Davor Lovren, the younger brother of defender Dejan.

Club scouts watched Lovren and Croatia twice in the opening fixtures of the U17 World Championships against Chile and USA.

Davor, 17, who plays for Dinamo Zagreb, is a right winger who can also play as a striker.

When we're "monitoring" someone it usually pans out in them signing for someone else.

Maybe Davor got all the ability in the family.

Origi is a shit hot prospect with world cup experience and has shown he is already a good player.... dont we have time to wait for Neves to adjust?

[article]Scouts are continuing to gather reports on players ahead of the January window as Jurgen Klopp considers tweaking his squad. The Anfield club had staff posted at Slovenia U21s against Serbia on Tuesday where Slovenia striker Andraz Sporar impressed in a 2-0 win before they moved on to watch Croatia U21s lose 3-2 to Spain.

Andraz Sporar has 15 goals and 5 assists in 15 appearances so far this season. He's apparently a Liverpool fan too.

Christ, Scouting For Girls was some shit band. They released a few songs that all sounded exactly the same. Bluffers.

Absolute fucking jokers. Look at these lyrics. Are they fucking for real?

I think that you are lovely
I think that you are lovely
I think that you are lovely
I think that you are lovely
I think that you are lovely
I think that you are lovely
I think that you are lovely
I think that you are beautiful

Liverpool missed out on boyhood fan Dele Alli because members of the club's transfer committee were unsure if he represented value for money.

Alli joined Tottenham for an initial fee of £5m from MK Dons in the summer but, according to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds had also been scouting the player with a view to taking him to Anfield.

The 19-year-old has been in fine form for Spurs this term and put in a man-of-the-match display as he scored on his full international debut against France on Tuesday.

He made his debut for MK Dons in the FA Cup at the age of 16 in November 2012, with former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers monitoring his progress closely throughout the following campaign.

The Echo reported Alli was a boyhood Liverpool supporter and he said he idolised former captain Steven Gerrard.
Alli said: "I remember Istanbul, the FA Cup final, and the game against Olympiakos: Gerrard just scoring amazing goals. Gerrard was a big influence on why I supported Liverpool."

Rodgers received regular updates on the midfielder from MK Dons boss Karl Robinson, who had previously coached at Liverpool's Kirkby Academy, and compared Alli to Gerrard.

Former Liverpool scout Mel Johnson pushed for a move to go through but when negotiations over a potential transfer began in the summer of 2014 the fee and add-ons kept rising.

While Rodgers was keen to push the deal through, others members of the club's transfer committee were not convinced Alli represented value for money and thought he could need more than a year to be ready for the Premier League.

I remember being really pissed off at the time, cos the press made it sound like he'd all but signed for us.

He's been ace this season too.
