That's the reports out today - Real Madrid apparently. Seems like bollocks to me but you have to laugh. 190 million quid for one guy?! I mean that's just absurd. You could feed an entire 3rd world country for a year with that doe. The football world is fucking nuts. Anyway I hope we tell what ever suiters rock up to fuck off. I want 200mill at least! 😛

Unless we start winning stuff yep.
Aguero, Hazard, De Bruyne, Yaya, Kompany etc prove you can keep world stars happy in this country if you fucking win things.
Madrid, Barca etc know us and Spurs will sell eventually because our players win fuck all here so will want to leave.

Champions league would help, but lets face it we need to start regularly winning leagues to keep these players happy.
You go to Spain you have a 50/50 chance of winning the League title every year.
Same in Germany. Probably almost the same in Italy and France.

This is certainly the hardest league nowadays to have a dynasty in, as proven by the fact no one ever defends the fucking title.
So whats to keep these guys here? Nothing unless you prove that you can win it.

I think it goes beyond us winning stuff, with Salah. He's got the whole 'an Egyptian playing for Real Madrid' that he will almost certainly feel obliged to fulfill.
 
Would we be stronger investing an extra 200M on top of what we’re already likely to spend?
If he was a rapid 15 goal a season winger I’d think so, but he’s such a ridiculous goal scorer that I don’t think we would be.
So hopefully we keep him.

We'd also have to tear up our wage structure too.
 
I mean , that sounds about right , given the little rats value to Barca a few months back. I think hes probably the next ultra marketable worldie after Ronaldo / Messi .

Phenomenal talent , nice bloke but also holds key to Arab market.

we need to own these situations and not worry about sales in 18 months but instead , invest this summer and give the man a recent to stay , reactive/ replacement sales always offer worse value with similar risk levels as pro active.

can we spunk that £190m now rather than in 2 years time get it/some of it.

Klopp recommitting to his stands regarding contracts and life after football really means we need to make some hay before Salah/Klopp etc leave/retire
 
He's very happy at LFC.

He's not for sale - at any price.

Until he gets twitchy feet, no point in selling one of the top 3 players in the world.
 
Its harder than any country here ... also if next year we dont win title maybe he should move on and we cash in. Has he already got a PL title from his time with Chelsea ?
 
If I was Salah, I'd wait another season.

He is playing in a system that is well suited to him.
Real are on the cusp of losing many important players and are looking at the daunting task of replacing a legend...they will come back again.

The other way to look at it is if he doesn't have another season like this one, we have little hope of someone smashing the world record transfer fee for him.
