Roy Hodgson

I've always thought, Liverpool disaster aside, he's always seemed a decent enough fella. I have very little issue with Roy, and doubt he gives us much thought.

I doubt he gives anything much thought. He probably thinks it’s 1967.

I’ve heard from a few journos over here that he’s a massive cunt and was a pain when he was managing in Scandinavia.

He's affable when things are on an even keel, but when he's under pressure (for us and then for England) a weapons-grade @rsehole rapidly emerges. He dissed the King ("it was never going to happen for him") after it emerged that the latter had thrown his hat in the ring for the LFC job first; he lied about Masher refusing to play before leaving; he had a pop at LFC fans when he was getting barracked; he sulked at his final presser as England manager. At the right level the guy had his strengths, but at the top level he was a personal as well as professional failure.

Is still alive. He's retiring. Making the last game of his career against us. The motherfucker is going to go out with a win isn't he. FFS Dreamy.
these stupid shitty circumstances always arise against us. But it means nothing, for us it should be business as usual. I can really see this match going to the wire, I just hope we come out on the better side of it.

It will mean two banks of five and a referee that not only hates us but will pity the retiring fool.

Gillespie scored a cracking header to put us 3-1 against Manure in about 1985. They clawed it back to 3-3, down to ten men. I've never watched the highlights, it still hurts too much. I remember Strachan flicking the vees at the kop after his late equaliser, and him saying after the match it was v for victory, like Churchill.

The endless chant of yerl never beat yurnarted as we left the ground is ingrained in my head.

Hodgson is a spoofer. Did I ever tell you I forsaw his departure in a thread :woot: - 11 years ago almost

And he's not a decent sort at all. As others have said, he becomes a grade A arse when under pressure.

I'll save my praise for the good folks
