Rodgers out !!!

His greatest downfall is his inability to not use his system

We're awful up front, and I'm not going to blame him for that as we've got fuck all options.

we've had the same problem for the last few years, we just cant take our chances, I don't know what it is, we've tried different managers, different players, it's like there is a kind of disease that infects everyone as soon as they come into contact with the club

Most people at the start at the season acknowledged it would be long hard season and we would be a year or two in transition.

Reality is starting to bite.

This is the sort of thread that makes me embarressed about being a Liverpool fan.
We've been shite since 2009. It wont change in 4 months. Changing manager again is pointless at this stage.

The squad is awfully thin and our attacking options are extremely limited.
He deserves at least a full season before we judge him. If his signings in january doesnt improve the first team or results, then questions have to asked.

That said, he needs to learn aswell. If something isnt working he has to be able to change his approach.

The fuck you talking about ?

I did this thread months ago.

Sunny locked it.

*foiled*

I did it the day he was appointed and it was locked. Even though I wasn't calling for him to be fired but just asking how long he'd last.

The team hasn't been below 8th since 19 sixty fucking two! Listening to some of the guff on here you'd think poor old Rodgers inherited some club on a par with Peterborough! If a manager needs several years to 'turn it around' he's not up to managing a great club.

And we have 21 games to ensure that we finish higher than 8th.
We were in relegation form from january, so its not strange the same group of players continue to struggle.

Missed the point. This team - follow this carefully - has not been below 8th since it gained promotion. Okay? That means you can forget all the shit about how terrible, how absolutely abject, the club was when Rodgers took over. Okay? It WASN'T. It just was not. It was one of the most important clubs in the country. And any manager who manages it needs to be up to keeping it like that. Now. Not in five fucking years time. Now.

Why have we sacked Dalglish then?
Rodgers got rid of most of Kenny's players, yet he's playing the worst of them.
We would defo not be worse off with Kenny in charge and his players (Adam and Carroll).

Having said that, it would be pointless to sack Rodgers now.

Missed the point??
Look, we've been on a downward spirral since 2009. Did you think that would change in 4 months?
Its one of the most important clubs in the country and Rodgers has done nothing but to talk about that.

We've been mismanaged for years now, the squad is thin, lacks quality and has a bloated wage bill. To turn that around will take time. Last season expencive flops doesnt help either.

Imho, we wont finish below 8th now either.

I think we can start judging him properly when he's got 3 first-choice forwards for that front 3.

So far, I'm pretty underwhelmed and, if anything, we're under performing. What you want is for a new manager to raise the bar and that definitely isn't the case so far.

The thing for me is that we just don't have the players for how he wants to play. So play a different formation and style. It's clear the 'system' doesn't create a team greater than the sum of its parts, which is a concern too. Let's pray it might do once we've got player who fit.

A downward spiral to...8th. Not exactly Biblical in its scope. But IMHO we WILL finish lower if we keep this bloke. He's not a bad man, he's just out of his depth and appointing him was an appalling act of vandalism by owners who are supposed to be custodians of the club.

Kenny had us at pretty much the same standard with the benefit of a wad of cash. whatever immediate progress you're demanding, it also requires financial backing, which he hasn't had to the same degree. We were both content to keep Dalglish, so it's a bit rich making different demands of Rodgers, with less cash and less time at it.

I don't see what positive actions he's made, unless it's The Great Early Subbing Sensation of 2012. Playing kids? Forced on him. Attractive football? The highs haven't struck me as any higher than last season (The Mythic Shit Season of 2011/12). More players in the box? No, fewer. More of a goal threat? The opposite. I'm happy to demand progress in the JS Mill sense - not going backwards. We're going backwards.

Of course we are going backwards, we never had results like this last season, did we? Just our worst second half to a season for 17 years.
