Rodgers' on Suarez's dive today

We should be angry about languishing in the bottom half of the table with absentee owners who seem to find it all hilarious, not with what the mancs do.

Always going to be a season of transition.

Most people would have taken a draw at the start of the game.

Great how its been made out to be big deal, and Suarez winding up Moyes (who, in fairness, I don't think has moaned about it has he?), whereas years ago Klinsmann did exactly the same thing in response to people calling him a diver, and that was considered by some to be some kind of huge, hilarious joke!

I though it was great. Even more so that it clearly wound up Gollum and jowly Dowd

Macca, do you not feel that there's a lot of good going on at the moment, considering everything that we're all well aware of, and that, the future's bright and were it not for some dreadful luck / officiating, we'd actually be doing quite well, considering that this season was always going to be a 'transitional' one..? After the initial fury of the scum anf bitter games, and the dissapointment of the citeh and makem games, I'm very optimistic that we're got a good manager, some good young talent, and that we'll be ok in a year or two...

Did you see that bluenose in the crowd when Suarez dived? He's getting a steward and pointing at Suarez. They're such divs!

Amazing isn't it? The hypocrisy is pathetic, apparently there was also a minor section of dickheads chanting about Hillsborough too and then there's the coin, which they're due a charge on as they were previously warned if it happened again they would have the book thrown at them.

As for Dowd, it just shows the mate-ish nature of the game and the way certain cliques have taken it upon themselves to oppose Suarez. The way he looks at Moyes and then shakes his head. It's a celebration, he shouldn't have an opinion on it. That dickhead Hibbert was ok inciting our fans though.

It doesn matter. If there is contact you cant book him for simulation.
If he thinks Torres went to ground to easily then just let the play continue instead of giving a free kick and yellow card, that would have been a much better call if he for some strange reason doesnt think a kick in the shin is a free kick.

EXACTLY, he took his leg so it's a foul. The simulation in that sense is to ensure the contact is noticed, rightly or wrongly, refs miss some fouls because players stay up, so it works both ways. Young's wasn't any different, yet he gets the freekick. So again, there's no consistency.

I don't think he dived. Never should have been shown a yellow for it and definitely not a 2nd yellow.

I agree Jimmy. though to be fair my immediate reaction was that it was a dive so you can see why Clattenburg got it wrong.
The linesman also got the Hernandez goal wrong though it too was a tough call.
Those cunts always seem to get the marginal calls in their favour.

But its because they are always in their opponents box though eh Count...

They do, and I do suspect that at least part of that is that they are in some ways scared of Ferguson. Any bad call against United will result in him ranting and raving.

Its the fault of the FA and referees though, not really Ferguson. He shouldn't have been allowed to get away with it from the start.

I do wonder sometimes if it might have been better in some ways not to have switched to professional refs. These days I think some referees are probably concerned about the damage that could be done to their careers resulting from a public attack from the likes of Ferguson, whereas before they could just go back to their day jobs.

Well it's not going to get any better whilst Gill sits as vice-chairman of the FA and who is also the FAs nomination for the executive committee of UEFA

Call me paranoid if you like, but I firmly believe if it had been Utd scoring in the last minute againt Everton yesterday, the linesman would not have flagged

In the Echo there is an interview were Gerrard talks about yesterdays game. He says he asked the linesman about the offside call, and the answer was "I think so".
What happened to giving the attacking team the benefit of the doubt? You robb us if 2 points with a I think so.

Arsenal and Utd both got the benefit of the doubt, wrongley..

Absolutly. Which is why I cant believe he opted for the wrong decision when his panic mode and uncertainty should result in allowing the goal and then giving the attacking team the benefit of the doubt.

I'm still fuming about this tbh. Doesnt help when every Manc fan out there is enjoying two shite decisions and rubbing it in.

Never in a thousand games would he have flagged. If he did, he'd have been waiting a while for his next Utd game.

On the US channel, they had an angle from the corner that Luis ran towards after scoring the 'winner', directly in line with the linesman... He was directly in line with the play and could clearly see that LS wasn't offside. His flag stayed down for a second or two after the ball went in, and he didn't put it up until several defenders screamed at him - Luis was already halfway to the flag by then.

Gutless prick.

Fudgie needs to watch it. He said in the presser today about the 'offside' decision that he could see after the match that the ref was really angry with himself for getting it wrong. Now unless the ref said that to Fudgie, it's not up to him to interpret an expression as an admission and then broadcast it to the media. It doesn't sound any better than an outright criticism of a ref, which usually results in a fine. I'm sure he's right in this instance but he wouldn't want a ref to imagine his own supposed contrition.
