Robinho decides he's an anglophile

Well he's changed his tune!

Brazilian striker Robinho has claimed he is "very happy" at Manchester City and could stay at the club for up to ten years.

The former Real Madrid striker has been heavily linked to a move back to Spain, with Barcelona tipped to be front-runners for his signature.

But despite rumours of his dissatisfaction with life at Eastlands, Robinho has moved to quash speculation that he is desperate to leave England.

"I am very happy here," he told the BBC's Football Focus programme.

"I love the Manchester City team. I think I [will] stay here maybe five years, maybe ten years, I don't know.

"My family is very happy, the fans love me and I love the fans."

In the last 10-12 years we have a tradition of converting strikers who are not up to the mark to wingers who are not up to the mark. And we sold potentially the only striker who could have been very effective in that position without trying him there.

Anglophile makes me think of somone who LOVES geometry. Even though I know what it means, I just cant help thinking of a bloke with glasses & a jacket with leather elbow patches getting excited & rubbing his corduroy trousers whilst fondling a triangle.

I don't think even dear old Craig can always get the best out of Craig. Sometimes he genuinely seems unplayable, and other times he seems really useful, but, either time, it's just not often enough.
