AS understands that Valencia forward Roberto Soldado’s future could be on the verge of a resolution, with the Premier League duo Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool ready to pay the 28-year-old’s release clause of 30 million euros.

It is expected that there will be developments during the coming week. Valencia remain reluctant to sell the Spain international, and will not make their move to sign a replacement until the player deposits his release clause at the Spanish Football League (LFP).

However, speaking from Valencia’s pre-season training camp in Speyer, Germany, sporting director Braulio Vázquez admitted: “We have a plan B for all our players”.
Interesting 'fox in the box' candidate

Soldado scored all 24 of his goals in La Liga this season from in the penalty area, while he also had the most shots blocked (4) inside the six yard box

Well spotted Binny, you are incredible, but I promise to eat the same unwashed baseball hat I have been jogging and training in for the last five or so years hanging by my left nostril from the Eiffel Tower if FSG blow €30m on a 28 year old. Where these journo's pull the stories from is a wonder.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Valencia are broke so I doubt they'd be able to stick to the min release figure

I wanted Soldado about 4 years ago.
Im not sure if hes all that anymore.
Certainly not 30 motherfucking million.
When we have 4 forwards already.

Amid links with Gonzalo Higuain and Leandro Damiao, now Valencia’s Robert Soldado is on Napoli’s wish-list.

The Partenopei need a replacement for Edinson Cavani and can reinvest the €63m paid by Paris Saint-Germain.

Although this morning the Corriere dello Sport claimed there was a €35m deal with Real Madrid for Higuain, other sources have doubts over that move.

Internacional’s Damiao is another option, but this afternoon Soldado has emerged as the latest candidate.

The 28-year-old Spain international has been a sensation at Valencia, scoring 30 goals in all competition last season.

“At the moment we have not received any formal offers for our striker, but there are many people who have asked us about his situation. I can’t say much more,” noted Valencia sporting director Braulio Vazquez on Friday.

Soldado has a £25.9m release clause on his contract and has already been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham.
