RIP Joe Frazier

Whenever I hear of boxers from that era I'm always reminded of my old granda. He was a big fan of Smokin' Joe, Ali etc. He used to talk about them as if he knew them.

RIP

So sad. A true legend and hero of mine. One of my childhood hero's.
RIP
🙁 x 10000000

Brave as a lion in the ring, literally didn't know when he was beaten (Eddie Futch had to throw in the towel to stop him coming out for the last round of his third fight with Ali, and Smokin' Joe never forgave him for it). Decent guy outside the ring, after he gave up boxing at any rate. God rest him.

RIP to a true legend of boxing.
Blooming good singer, too.

Maybe now, Philadelphia will erect a statue, in his honour.

There's been one of a fighter that didn't even exist, for years......!

RIP, Smokin' Joe.

Particularly when he learned that Ali already knew he wasn't going to be able to get up himself.

That said Avvy is right; the feud should have ended when they were both gone from the ring. It was really the only stain on Frazier that he couldn't help taking any opportunity to have a swing at his former rival.

Still a legend though.

RIP Joe.

Apparently, Joe Fraziers death is being treated as suspicious by the police. They're grilling George Foreman.
