Remember this summer when so many SCM'ers didn't want us to buy Wilfried Bony?

I have not won anything.

I did want Bony before last summer though. I wanted him when he was at Vitesse.
 
Andy scored a peach too.
Bony is class though.
19 league goals in 2014.
 
If flog Balo in a heart beat and get Bony. Or anyone. Anyone who can score the odd fucking goal and not be perpetually debilitated.
I was keen to give Mario time but not now. He's been poor on the field, a liability off it, and most frustratingly of all, Rogers buys him, covers his own arse before the guy has kicked a ball, and then tells us how he's best in a front pair only to then refuse to play him that way.
Utterly pointless signing. Fuck right off with the 'it was a gamble' lark. Every signing is. You chose to sign him, mate. Your mistake, nobody else's.
 
Bony will turn to dross with us. It's in my tea leaves. Ps he was always a better option than the incredible sulk
 
Bony and Remy are looking better options than anything we have at the moment. Obviously the committee beg to differ.
 
We scouted Diafra Sakho that West Ham picked up for 3,5 mill after 40 goals in 2 years for Metz.
7 in 9 for West Ham and has just about everything you could want in a striker.

Our transfer commitee isnt worth a shite.
 
I don't remember many being fiercely opposed to Bony. Personally I didn't feel strongly one way or the other. I think most were more concerned to see us find someone much better than any of these figures. And isn't that still the case?

You did. I remember it well. Annoying when a forum member (no offense intended) knows a stack more than a professional 'committee'. Oh well at least got we got Markovic........ How much did we pay for him again????

Hmmm, I seem to remember being all aboard the Bony-train in the summer. In fact, I'd go as far as to say I championed him louder than anyone.

What did that bandwagon-hopper Cloggy say??
 
I am sure Ryan was in favour of someone capable of putting the ball in the net loads.

Fabio seemed to want him even more than me.

Kramaric is the new bandwagon though.
 
I was always on Cloggy's Bony Is Boss bandwagon. I dunno if I would have plumped up the 20 million for Bony during the summer. At that stage I still had my heart set on a Reus type signing. We didn't get one. I would have taken Bony if I had known.
