I was going to post this in the Suarez thread as an aside to the link @Gary25 posted up.

It made for quite funny reading until a red popped up later in the thread - Then it turned ugly. Having not grown up in the city I never had any real dislike for Everton. All this JFT39 stuff and murderers jibes being spouted I was quite shocked by. Maybe I shouldn't have been I don't know. What do you Liverpool dwellers think? Is there proper hatred there or just a couple of bellends causing bother?
 
It's just bellends being bellends i think.

I'm friends with several Everton fans and you'd never hear any of that from them
 
I have one Everton friend. I remember telling him that Goodison Park had to be one of the shoddiest, clapped out, archaic stadiums I've ever seen. I'm amazed it even meets safety regulations. He told me Everton fans agree but they like it like that - 'It's what gives the place it's charm' - Queer fish indeed!
 
Interestingly I have a bluenose pal as well, I've put the point to him and he said something very similar. In his case, though, I got the impression he was just saying that so he wouldn't be seen to concede absolutely everything in an albeit friendly argument with a Red.

Having lived with my evertonian uncle during my youth in Liverpool, I had to go to Goodison every once in a while and knew tons of blues.
No, most of them aren't complete and utter bellends like those on that site. I mean, so many families in Liverpool have split allegiances when it comes to Red and Blue, as well as tons of blues having direct or indirect connection with those who suffered.
I wouldn't read too much into the bollocks on that site.
 
I used to quite like Goodison when they had that crescent shape behind each goal (no, not Southall, he was in front of the goal). It gave the place something different. Once they lost that it suddenly seemed incredibly poky and, as you say, clapped out.
 
They're alright the majority of Evertonians. You do get some bitter, spiteful bastards and some idiots, but that's true of any club.
 
I watched Match of the Day on Wednesday with a load of blues who'd just got back from watching their game and we had a boss laugh. Every one of them was laughing their balls off at how great Suarez was. It's just nobheads online for the most part.
