Real reason LFC sold Torres?

I just googled "Torres knee injury" and this article was one of the first results http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/18/fernando-torres-knee-surgery-liverpool

"The 26-year-old made a 17-hour train journey from Merseyside to Barcelona for another assessment on the knee problem he suffered against Benfica at Anfield on 8 April. Once there, his worst fears were confirmed by Dr Ramon Cugat."

It wasn't even our medical team inspecting the knee or doing surgery!

I remember this rumour from january 2011. Wouldnt surprise me at all when you see how his last 2 years have been.

Shame we wasted what was an excellent deal on shite expencive players.

I don't think that there would be any come back if Liverpool knowingly sold a player with a dodgy knee to Chelsea.
It is surely up to the buying club to determine that the player is fit enough.
However if the player himself also knew that he had a problem with his knee, and it seems rather unlikely that he wouldn't know, then it would be a poor reflection on the player and effect the relationship he has with his new club and its fans.

If its anything like selling a car, as long as we got a receipt that says 'sold as seen' then we're sound.

What a load of bullshit article - Spain play him in June against our wishes when he is recovering from surgery - Chelsea sign him at the end of January over 6 months later -where is the beef

If we simply didn't say anything about it, probably not - or, if there were, Chelsea wouldn't be able to make it stick. If however we took the initiative and knowingly said misleading things to Chelsea, and they can show they relied even partly on them, that might be rather different.

How did the club manage to keep it a secret from him then?

So neither the Spanish national sides medical team or the Drs in spain he saw picked up on this?

lol.

Chelsea have money and therefore are massively incompetent with medicals?
