Real destroyed Celta 6:0 without Ronaldo and with a makeshift back-line. Worryingly, they seem to be hitting top form just at the right moment of the season – Bale in particular has been unplayable in this game, Keylor Navas sharp, Isco very good as always and apparently they even have an answer to Trent in the 19-year-old right-back Achraf Hakimi who tormented Celta's left flank of defense all game and scored the 4th goal.

For all the positivity and hopeful momentum we're feeling now let's not forget that we are going to face a damn good team on the other side, managed by a damn good coach. Now it's even more important to create our own positive momentum with the win against Brighton tomorrow.

We are gonna batter them.

Every decent attacking team has destroyed them this season,

Only Bayerns wayward shooting cost them a place in the final

Gareth Bale scored twice to boost his chances of starting in the Champions League final as Real Madrid thrashed Celta Vigo in La Liga.

They look good. Meanwhile our form is dropping off

I genuinely won't be surprised if we were already gotten 3-0 by half time

Hmmm.

OK, let's look at it a different way, would you prefer to face a team that loves to attack yet can have fuck ups at the back, & literally doesn't have the ability to try to defend for 90 minutes, or a Mourinho style side that would just try to frustrate us?

Everyone knows it's not going to be easy. It'll almost certainly be heart attack inducing because both sides will be going end to end & trying to out score one another, but I'd prefer to face an attacking side, even as one as good as Real, than a side that would let us sit with the ball trying to break them down.

At least wait to see how we get on today before being negative. We could win 6-0 today. That week of rest could do us the world of good. Then we have two weeks off when the squad get a holiday in.

It will pain you to recall that Mane and Salah will not eat or drink anything after 5am on the day of the final. Barring an afternoon eclipse, we might be the team trying to hold out for a 0-0 and penalties.

Wonder what their respective records are like during these periods.
Interesting how certain gods prefer to punish their devout followers.

Isn’t there a traveller bollocks thing meaning they can eat?
Yep.

They're classed as travellers & can therefore observe their fasting after the event.

It's been used by sportsmen many times in the past.

It's a somewhat necessary 'loophole' because so many Muslims made/make a pilgrimage & due to travelling would be unable to do so safely otherwise if I understand it correctly.

Well I dreamt last night that Firmino chipped the keeper with our first real chance after about 20 mins last night, and that we were the nominal away team for the match. I just had to google that and we are, so that's it settled. We go one nil up after 20 and then I wake up.

My analysis would be that Madrid really don't want this two week gap, and we really do. It's all coming together.

That was an impressively poor goalkeeping display. I think 5 of the goals were quite suspect. Hopefully, provides them with false confidence.

Check out mufti FFF over here.
Id imagine they won't be fasting so wouldn't worry about that.
It's a concession to make things easier is all

Hahaha. One of Andy's Muslim scholar mates told him, he posted it here which got me curious, so I did some light Google research.
