Torres - Excellent, though he kinda frustrated me alot too, you could see he was trying to be everything and he fucked up a fair bit too, probably trying too hard. He ran himself into the ground.

Gerrard - No reflection on Meireles, but it gave us fresh impetus. Stay away from taking the fucking corners though, FFS!

I'd like to give a few mentions.

Cole - Nice to see him come on and make a contribution, and he looked ecstatic when he did. It was just a tap in, but anyway.

Agger - Good solid display and some positive play.

Aurelio - Like Agger.

Soto Shit them up a fair bit, it's a good last few minutes option.

Lucas - Passed the ball around well and looks better as always with an offensive partner in midfield. Bad miss though.

Kuyt I've seen him treated shite on todays performance, watch his positive contributions again, he hassled, harried and put in some excellent deliveries.

Johnson - Some positive play early on undone by his tendency to be ruffled too easily. His last 20 minutes were a fucking horror show. Wing or gone.


Whoever I've missed out, steady performances as a whole. I thought it was a good performance overall, though you can see in terms of organisation we're all over the fucking place.

You say about Gerrard that he gave us "fresh impetus" and should stay away from taking corners. Come on man! He was like a jedi knight on a team of C3POs, absolutely dominant! I agree that Kuyt was better than I have seen him in a long time. Still we need to do much better.

Gerrard showed yet again why he is the most dangerous player in England.

He was absolutely sensational and I love him to pieces.

Lucas was shit, again.

Gerrard was unplayable.

Torres scored a majestic goal.

Kuyt made several excellent contributions, but his overall game is still erratic.

Agger should play when fit.

Aurelio isn't a great LB, but he is better than Cuntchesky. By a distance.

Kuyt did make some good deliveries, but his overall play is still too shit to be a guaranteed starter. As a winger he needs to stick to his side as he drifted centrally and out to the left side (!) Too often, leaving johnson struggling to make a forward pass

i thought we were pretty shit..

in terms of skill and composure we were woeful. Gerrard was amazing when he came on and showed the rest of the lads how they should play.

Kuyt.. Ran around like a bitch.
Lucas - passed quite well, shocking miss, tackled well.. looks a lot better this season.
Ngog - had a few nice touches, holds up the ball quite well.. With a lot more confidence he could cause some serious damage with more direct running.
Torres- nothing worked for him. argued with everyone.. had zero touch and had his head down more than Baros at his worst.. HOWEVER. Great finish for the goal and he never stopped trying. I can deal with the moaning when he puts the effort in too. Could you imagine him and Bellamy upfront together.. i think it would be a terrific partnership but the Ref would have to wear earplugs.

the rest were ok..

10 out of 10 for effort.
3 out of 10 for ability

I would too though I'd add that you couldn't say enough about Gerrards performance. It would almost be undermining his performance to award a 2nd and 3rd so far in front of everyone else was he.
