Reina 7 - Good saves. Flapped once at a cross. Bonus point for keeping a clean sheet.

Kelly 8 - Easily our best player in the first half. Great in defence and great going forward. Who needs Johnson? Are you looking Capello?!!! Hope the injury isn't serious.

Kyrgiakos 7 - As always, towering in defence.
Agger 6 - Decent performance, still a bit rusty from the injury lay off.
Wilson 6 - Looked a bit misplaced at fullback. Not good enough going forward. Decent in defence.

Lucas 7 - Good game. Bossed the midfield. Worked hard.
Poulsen 4 - Gave away the ball to often for my liking. Terrible decision making. Poor performance.

Cole 7 - We're finally seeing the real Cole again. Great effort in attack. Suffered from Ngog's ineptness.
Meireles 6 - Missed a clear chance. Was behind most of our attacking play. Decent game.
Kuyt 7 - Poor touch at times. Decision making still a bit off. Well taken goal, bonus point for that.

Ngog 5 - Missed too many sitters. Poor awareness, too selfish. He tried but failed too many times.

Subs:

Carra 7 - Did what was expected from him.
Spearing 6 - Better than Poulsen.
Skrtel n/a

MOM: Hard to say, it would have been Kelly if he'd stayed on. Toss up between Cole and Kuyt.
Ultimately, I have to say Kuyt for winning us the game and working hard throughout.
 
I agree with most of this, perhaps bump Agger up to a 7 as he bailed Wilson out a number of times.. N'Gog was selfish but thats a trait you 'want' in a striker, Not Anelka style (or that Sparta black guy who has a stupid shot when they were breaking with plenty in support) yet if there's a loose ball in the box you'd expect them to lash at it instinctively which is what he did.. He still had a shocker last night..

I'd give Motm to Cole, Kuyt did get the goal and in the final 20minutes was great but up until then he let the side down a lot. Cole played himself out of trouble and created chances making it look so simple.. Match practice will hopefully see him feature positively and heavily in the run in..

Kelly really needs to work on his delivery!
 
I thought Lucas was pretty poor. Ponderous on the ball, lost it in dangerous areas, and conceded a couple of (his customary) free kicks in dangerous positions. That tackle towards the end of the 90 minutes to give them a free kick outside our box was just ridiculous.


Him and Poulsen in the centre of midfield makes me want to cry.
 
Yes, I though JC looked brighter, certainly in the first half, but went AWOL for the first twenty minutes of the second.
Unlike most here , I don't really mind Maxi, but JC was a better option, and if he is given a run of games could finish a disaster of a season on a high.
It's just been a shit start for his, Liverpool Career. Banned on his first game, bad injury, all the manager and ownership shite, he has been playing catch-up right from day 1.
I would like to see him start with a clean slate under Kenny next year we know there is a good player in there, but it has not had the chance to come out yet, I think Kenny likes him, and the type of player he can be and will make it work.
Poulsen is just a complete none event, it's difficult to get annoyed at what he does , he does not do that much wrong because he does not do anything.
As has been said him and Lucas together are a 'mare, that together with N'gog prancing round up from like something out of Fireball XL5 up front no wonder we laboured.
