The guy has apparently agreed to buy s further 1.4% of the club for£600k and the guy has an iq 234. First of all why is rangers worth almost £60m and his iq of 234 ranks him top 3 of the 10 most intelligent people, higher than Stephen hawkings or Albert Einstein

Out of curiosity I googled him to find out about this IQ myth & the first hit was an interview with the owner of Rangers .... in the Catholic Herald 🙂

http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/features/2010/08/05/‘religion-and-the-city-go-hand-in-hand’/

Raised in Salford by a devout Catholic family whose origins lie in the west of Ireland he says his paternal grandfather was “very clever” although as a farmer from the age of 10 in Connemara, he did not quite have the opportunity to shine.

Are the hun b'stards aware of this?

You might not like this, but Rangers have a huge following both domestically and internationally.

They have a 50,000 seated stadium & even in Scottish Division 3 the home average attendance was over 40,000.

That's up there with the biggest clubs in England in terms of average attendance - and they could probably fill a bigger stadium regularly.

The key though is the broadcast markets. Because the Scottish league is so shite it hardly ever gets picked up by overseas, or if it does, it's for a pittance.

Rangers, like Celtic have one of the most developed network over overseas supporters clubs.

Last year they developed Rangers TV as an on-line broadcaster very successfully - streaming all games live.

Their plan has centered around developing this medium to capture significant direct revenue streams.

Doc will be rampaging through this thread shortly .

The club is then valued at around £42m, which I find staggering but who am I to argue with a guy with an IQ of 234 and has millions trading.
