Rafa's ideal 5 a side Liverpool team

In 5-a-side you need forwards to be nimble and have quick feet. I'd have Benayoun ahead of Nando aswell, as Torres' pace/power wouldn't be as much use upfront on a 5-a-side pitch.

No Torres?

Torres is shit at 5 a side, everyone knows that ???

He says it on this all red DVD.

Pepe Reina
Fabio Aurelio
Javier Mascherano
Steven Gerrard
Yossi Benayoun

Dirk is probably in tears as we speak.

Great side.
I'd consider Johnson too. Maybe as a sub on for Aurelio once he gets injured.

All this proves is it doesn't whether he has to pick 11 or 5, he still can't get it right.

I'd hate to play against Mascherano in a five a side.

Haha - yeah, he would definitely be a massive twat to play against.

I'm surprised at the inclusion of Aurelio though.

Me too. Having to play in a 5-a-side game with a man down is a nightmare.

He would be a perfect player. Nice touch, skillful, intelligent and laid back player who is calm on the ball. Small pitch so he can't get beat for pace.

Aurelio?
Don't underestimate Fabulous.

He's got great touch. I'm a fan.

Aurelio?
Yeah, why not?? He would be the perfect 5 aside player - lovely touch, keeps the ball, technically very good.

Further evidence, as if we needed it, of just how highly Rafa rates Aurelio.
I bet he was tempted to include Lucas in it too.
