Rafa on Allardyce:

"We can win on the pitch and enjoy. Some people have to talk before or after the press conference because it's more difficult for them to do a football job.

"I think he's a model for managers all around the world. I am sure his style of football, his behaviour - everything. It's the perfect model for all the kids.

"The style of football - I am sure Barcelona are thinking about copying the style."

the football that b'burn were attempting today would make stoke blush. how they have fallen from the days when kenny managed them.

As fucking brutally ugly as they are to watch, he'll keep them in the Premier League. When he took over the were bottom of the table last season.

People laud Wolves for 'trying to play the game the right way' in the same way they did for West Brom last year. fucking bollocks to that, you do whatever you can to keep your side in the league, regardless of how many dissenters it gets you. Pulis and Allardyce are excellent at what they do.

I like Pulis as he wears a cap. That's the only reason.

Maybe Fat Sam should try it.

Allardyce should wear a cap made out of shit.

His cap is the one thing I have against Pulis. It reminds of some cuntish, obsessive parent coaching some under 15 side.

With regards to Fat Sam, I agree with Ryan - for all his cuntishness, style of play criticism, Allardyce knows how to operate in the Premier League successfully. I absolutely loathe him though.

Thats cringeworthy.

Why stoop to that level? We won the game and that's all there is to it.
[/quote]

It is a bit. They really do hate each other it seems.

Either way, people in glass houses and all that. Our football has been fucking turgid all season long.

Benitez is only verbalising what most think, Allardyce gets results for mid-table teams with percentage football. It's unattractive but keeps his employers on the gravy train.

Benitez could have expressed this without sarcasm but then it wouldn't have made it into the papers. I expect Benitez thought Allardyce needed to be slapped down after recent spats. Job done.

Irony is, that we've had to resort to hard work and stifling our opponents to get our season back on track. Difference is that when our full team is fit we are capable of more than one style of play.

let's be honest here barca are hardly going to copy our football either are they? we were booting that ball forwards just as much as b'burn and some of the football this season has been shocking, in fact a lot of the football was shocking last season as well apart from an absolute storming end to the season.

There are managers who somehow manage to play the game the "right way", and have success for their club as well. Those are managers that should be lauded. Look at Fulham over the last many seasons. Fat Sam doesn't seem to be using ugly football because it's the only way to success with any of the teams he has managed, rather it seems to be the only way he knows how to manage a team to play.

Thats cruel from Rafa. Just because Barcelona has been visiting Melwood lately to copy Liverpools al flat creative sparkling footie lately it is no point in bragging about it like this... Shame on you Rafa!!!

I suppose the Barca comments might have been a touch ironic given how shit we've been this season, but any slapping down of that bacon-eared gobshite is always welcome.

The Barca statement is a bit excessive considering that we have not exactly been playing total football this season. However, Allardyce has been attacking Rafa for quite some time now including the pathetic gesture comment last season. Even before the game, he taunted Rafa.
Allardyce made it look he has been getting the better of Rafa based on his win in the 2004-2005 season and conveniently ommitted the fact
that Rafa has defeated him 8 times since then.

After the game Allardyce said that they lost because he did not get decisions going their way and that is because we are liverpool and we have been getting favorable decisions since the 1970s or something. In this case, I would not attack Rafa for that.

My criticism is more on the FA for allowing such a level of physical football. It is one thing to play that way once or twice a year. But playing the same way the whole year is a bit too much.

Rafa: "We have had four of five players with problems, bleeding, and Maxi with stud (marks) in his abdomen."

I am with you in the sense that if the referees allow it then why not play that way if it keeps you in the Premier League.

I cant stand Allardyce but this is very rich coming from the guy who plays with two holding midfielders and one lone striker at Anfield against Blackburn.
I hate these kind of comments from our manager. He's obviously not learnt his lesson from last season.
Rafa, just shut up and focus on getting 4th.

If Rafa gave Lechacal 10 grand and arranged to have Bar Rafaeli come round to his house and suck his cock, Lech would call him a tight bastard and say he preferred Heidi Klum
