Missing this thread. It's generally an interesting one as the season progresses.

Stolen. Pretty damn amazing though.

This demonstrates how tough the Top 4 Race is this season. If you combine the top 5 clubs points after 16 games have been played then you get the following:
187 ¦ 18-19
186 ¦
185 ¦
184 ¦
183 ¦
182 ¦
181 ¦
180 ¦
179 ¦
178 ¦
177 ¦
176 ¦
175 ¦ 11-12
174 ¦
173 ¦
172 ¦ 17-18
171 ¦ 16-17
170 ¦
169 ¦
168 ¦
167 ¦ 07-08
166 ¦
165 ¦ 05-06
164 ¦ 13-14 / 04-05
163 ¦
162 ¦
161 ¦ 18-09
160 ¦ 14-15
All other Seasons from 04-05 to present if not mentioned are below 160 points.

Yeah, I heard last week that this was Spurs best start to a season since the 1960-61 season when they won the league and cup double. This season is incredible in terms of the consistency of the top 4 or 5 teams.

Yup were unbeaten so far and not even first and then between today and arsenal in 2 weeks time we could be in 3rd or wherever, it's mad

The majority of that difference has come from us and City being absolute monsters this season, right?

Annoyingly, Spurs have been quietly doing very well too - and that's without their best players finding their best form

It's a strange one, four losses by now is far from title winning quality, however their points total would have been enough in most other seasons. Their point total is being skewed north somewhat by the fact that despite being a highly organised defensive outfit that often wins by a single goal, they've inexplicably not drawn a single game yet this season.

You and me reeeeeeaaally disagree on interesting.
So who makes the Top 4 isn't interesting ? Then yep we are two totally different individuals with differing tastes. Just so happens mine is better, can't be helped, don't feel bad about it though 😉

At the current rate around 90 points will be required to make it. That's insane - that's more than more title winning seasons.

Bet you really enjoyed last season then.
Oh I think your missunderstanding me. I love WATCHing football, especially us play, regardless.

Seeing how many points a combined top four would have at some arbitrary date in the season 15 years ago has about as much *interest* to me as the Ph levels of the soil at Carrington.

I feel like you are taking it personally. Please dont, i was actually being genuine.
Stuff like this just isnt my thing. Analysis and stat farming is just the most boring modern millenial side of the game. Like watching the little people talk after the game or the men in the suits talking in the studiozzzzzzzzz nope.

All the little liney graphs and arrows, all the Xg and tacticalzzzzzzz

I hate it.
Its dull.
Always will be.

The bit with the ball on the grass with the players running around and that.....I like that bit.

Can't see where else to put this.

We're up there with City and this is a much improved showing on last season. Home matches vs. Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs to come. Away at City and United.
