Sort of interesting story via Sky, in which our favourite ex-MD, Christian Pursssslow suggests that if we don't "match Klopp's ambitions" he may leave.

There's a lot of shite in there, and some very odd eulogising about United and their transfers:

"United are what Jose was on about, you are talking Paul Pogba, the most desired footballer on the planet went there last summer. The most productive centre-forward in the Premier League, Romelu Lukaku, went there last summer. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, probably the most admired creative midfield player in Germany, went there."

but there's a few debate-worthy points too:

The "Big Six" actually isn't a thing, and it's simply the "Richest Three" - Chelsea, Arab Emirates City and Man Utd with the "Next, Not-as-Rich Three" - Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs - all scrapping amongst themselves to be allowed to join the Top 4.

True. And that won't change unless the financial/ownership status of the clubs concerned does.

And that Klopp is such a top-tier manager "absolutely A-list", that if we don't start "shopping at Harrods" (fucking hell, Pursssslow is such a cunt) we could lose him to one of those "Big Three" clubs.

Now I'm not sure it's that straightforward (or indeed whether Klopp would really want to join United, Chelsea or even City, should there be an imminent vacancy), but I do wonder how long Klopp will carry on without ever making a proper - or even successful! - title challenge.

And that would really be the end of FSG.

I think Klopp enjoys the challenge to an extent, proven by him saying no to ManU, but I do wonder how long he’d put up with our transfers always being net positive.
It’s obvious he’s building something pretty amazing right now but if we can only ever bring in players when some are sold, he might grow tired of it all.
He’s a perfect fit for us so I hope he sticks around for as long as possible.
And Purslow is a little prick who hasn’t got a clue.

We've just signed the worlds most expensive defender, fuck off with this claim we don't have a lot of money, we aren't United rich, but we're clearly loaded.

Yeh but any second now someone’s gonna post that it was funded by the sale of cout...

Maybe it was!

I don’t think Klopp cares if we are net positive or not. As long as he gets the players he wants

We can't really compete with the likes of City and Utd financially. Klopp knew that before he joined.

If he is a manager that likes to take his time and build a team, we are a good fit for him.

As for when he does leave, I find it very hard to believe that he's move directly to a rival.

Agree with all of that, but how long, I wonder, does he view as an acceptable amount of time? It's not like in Germany, where he only had to beat one team.

Who knows...

Maybe he's put a number on it or maybe it will just be dictated by all the obvious factors - personal shit, how the team is doing and alternative offers available to him.

Apparently Bayern want him to take over. That'd be pretty disastrous for us.

That would appear to answer that question fairly succinctly

If Klopp wanted to work for manure he would already be there. He turned them down already remember (liking them to disneyland or something i can't remember) so i'm not worried. Plus he has never broken a contract before...ok we could be the first for him to to do that but i doubt it.

Their dickhead negotiator likened them to Disneyland in his pitch to Klopp.

Shortly after Klopp arrived here he said in one interview that he wanted the LFC job to be his last in football. Obv.we can't simply assume that will always be the case, but it does suggest it'll be very difficult for anyone to persuade him to go elsewhere. FSG are also known to have wanted to appoint him from the get-go so I'm confident they'll bend over backwards to keep him.

Purslow just wants a bit of attention. I'm grateful to him for the part he played in chasing the two cowboys out of the club, but he should keep his neck wound in now.
