The one thing I miss about living in England is good pubs. In France all they have (aside from 'Irish pubs' in the big cities) is bars: sterile, overlit, atmosphereless shells in which a few people sit around on hard plastic/wooden seats drinking pissweak lager (six to ten euros a pint) for thirty minutes before going away to do something more interesting.
Perhaps I'm romanticising, but I love old-fashioned British/Irish pubs - with leather benches, fireplaces, a good choice of draught bitters with very odd names, barmaids with big tits, and no fucking TVs or piped-in shit music.
So tell us about your local and/or your favourite pub. What's it called? What's the girl behind the bar like? How much do you pay for a pint? Etc etc. Make me salivate...
