I was just watching this friendly between Pro Patria & Milan.

Pro Patria (translation: For The Fatherland) are a lower league club in Italy.

Kevin Prince Boateng had the ball down the left wing, stopped ... and just booted the ball into the stands at the Pro Patria fans.

Apparently constant racist abuse hurled towards him & Muntari ... now Milan players have walked off in protest.

Already a clip up on youtube:

Yeah but isn't fascism o.k?
Ya know............because it's Italy.

Yep, it's official now. Some cunt of a town in Italy recently revealed a new statue of that 20th century reformer and all round misunderstood bloke, Mussolini!

Courage personified.

Good man Boateng and great to see teammates follow troop.

This shit has got to stop.

There's no "applaud" in the list of smilies....

Super. Glad to see gattuso is still a cunt

I remember when England played Spain in Spain a few years ago and the monkey chants ran around large sections of the crowd, when asked about this after the match Xabi said he didn't hear anything, although every other cunt in the stadium managed to hear the constant abuse. Wen you put footballers in remotely awkward situations they will always retreat to the safe ground of playing dumb.

Slack Bladder has condemned/criticized Boateng and said other players/teams who did the same would forfeit the match.

Now I don't usually wish death and pain on people, especially on Sundays, but I wish that fat corrupt cunt would fuck off and die, ideally at the hands of a group of people who firstly abused him about his cultural, religious and or political affiliation, just so he would possibly experience an epiphany-esque moment just before he popped his clogs.

i understand why he did it, btu seedorf came out recently and said it was wrong as it 'empowers' the racists. I think seedorf is right. however, if and until such time fifa/uefa do something to create a massive deterrent effect for clubs, i can see walking off being viewed as the only 'powerful' response.

The problem is that it gives the racists a voice and you cant do that. You cant have something the crowd can do affect results.
And much as I hate Blatter, he didnt condemn Boateng, he said he respected him but he advised against it. He went on to say its clear we need greater sanctions such as points deductions and I dont really see whats wrong with that.
If a team is losing you cannot have their fans enforcing a walkoff to affect the final result.
Its shouldnt be up to the players to make a stance its up to the governing body.

The last sentence is absolutely the key. UEFA and FIFA need to pull their heads out of there arses and start doing something about it. Until then I find it hard not to sympathise with the likes of Boateng. Yes it would anarchic if every team started to do it but it would perhaps also force some action.
