Preparing for the worst, whilst hoping for the best...

One very good side won't make the CL places this year and right now the money is probably on us.

Whilst I'm hopeful we'll go on a decent run and end this run of form, I want to what happens should we fail to make the CL, what's at stake? Are we in real risk of having to sell our top players?

2 weeks ago that side was Arsenal. Now it's us. Who's next?

We did look worryingly poor over the last couple of weeks, but things change, you know. Keep your head up high.

Preparing for the worst and hoping for the best is what I've been doing for a considerable length of time to be honest.

I think we can cope without CL for a year, without selling Torres or Mascherano.

I'm more intrigued to know if the owners might fuck off if we don't qualify than anything else. If they can't handle the debt, than someone else might buy us out.

I still think City will miss out on 4th.

With this is mind, we've played 9 games, and theres 87 points to win still. So anything can happen.

Something has to give if we miss out on CL qualification.

Either the Yanks will fuck off with their tails between their legs, or else we'll inevitably lose some players.

It won't be pretty either way.

Well Mascher is going regardless, so if the worst does happen i guess H&G will just use that money to make up the difference.

If we get new owners in (Prays) i'd of thought that they'd invest in new players to make sure that we get straight back into the CL

Do you think new owners would keep the same manager?

Well if Rafa is ever going to be under serious pressure in regards to keeping his job, then it will be if new owners come in with money to invest. Everybody with half a brain knows that we've got one of the best Managers about, so only a select few could replace him. For those managers to want the job then substantial transfer money would have to be guaranteed.

Defeat at Sunderland to the club imploding in 24 hours!

Seriously, calm down, calm down!

7 points off top, 3/4 of the season to go.

Our two top players to return and our new signing to make his debut. It's not all lost yet, surely?

Nobody is talking about the club imploding but given our financial problems, I think it's a fair question to ask.

We probably will make the CL but we can't take it for granted. And clearly it'd be more detrimental to ourselves than our rivals.

I don't like the media constantly having a pop at Rafa. It is like the man can never do anything right. I don't like a lot of things he does, but he is a very very good manager.

It aint over yet....

This aquilani lad better be the dogs bollox though. Spearing and Lucas try though they might are quite obviously not up to it, we clearly needed a striker in summer and didnt get one because... well... no point crying about it now. In our favour is that all of the bigger clubs are dropping points and we really could not be playing any fucking worse. The only way is up.

Torres is far too good to not be in a top 2-3 side of the prem but I think we could keep hold of him.

Mascherano would be gone in a flash

The only thing worse than watching us lose a game is the Internet after it.

Heh, that would make a good signature.
