Spearing is definitely not a great player, nor will he ever be one, but I've no doubt he's doing the absolute best he can with what he's got. He does the work, has the right attitude, and doesn't hide in games. That's all you can ask. If it doesn't work out, that's fine, you hope he enjoys success at a different level.
