STRIKER Jay Hart has been sacked by Evo-Stik NPL Division One North side Clitheroe after being filmed having sex in the dugout following a game.
Hart was caught in the act at Mossley’s Seel Park ground after the match on Saturday. The 24-year-old was still wearing his Clitheroe t-shirt and footage soon hit social media.
The club moved quickly to sack the forward, posting on their website that “following a NON-FOOTBALL RELATED incident at Mossley AFC yesterday. Jay Hart has been dismissed from the club”.
Mossley won the game 4-1. The club had marketed their final home match as ‘ladies day’ to try and attract more female supporters.
Hart said: “I’m full of regret. I’d had a couple of drinks. I was away from everyone and thought I was hidden.”
Clitheroe chairman Anne Barker added: “Any players, while wearing a Clitheroe tracksuit, represents the club. We expect a certain level of behaviour and discipline. And that wasn’t it.”
