Philippe Coutinho, Part II

New bid is merely restructured according to Barrett. This pissing about is really annoying. We're probably squabbling over 500k-1m knowing what we are like - bunch of idiots.

Then you will be moaning in the Summer we're short of money for player X, get it?

Stop moaning about shit you know fuck all about. As per.

Of course I get it, I'm not fucking stupid. I'm not suggesting I know everything, just merely getting those figures from respectable folk off twitter. I'm sure attempting to save a few quid now will hardly affect our summer budget.

Whilst I get the irritation there is a point in here. Either we want someone to make LFC great again or they aren't good enough. If the arguement is 1/6 of a day's match revenue then I'm not too arsed in the drama.

That's hard to answer as none of us appear to know anything about him, but I don't think it's wrong to suggest that we require goals and creativity from midfield. Coutinho looks like a player who can provide that.

Excellent dribbler, runs a lot at defenders, speedy and tricky. Could set up and finish. Can play multiple roles up front, good with both feet.

Kind of a Kuyt replacement (probably more akin to Garcia replacement), but better. If he can adapt to the English game, then he could be a fantastic signing.

silly question... do we need him? Or are we going back to the days of just adding numbers?

We need more than 11 players mate and Coutinho looks a perfect signing for us. He could turn out to be a star and if he doesn't excel here we would still get our money back for him on the continent. Basically risk free to a certain extent.

He has buckets of pace, skill and potential but don't let the word potential fool you. For his tender age he is already a fine player. We are crying out for players to take the burden off Suarez to create something. Sturridge has already shown he can do that, hopefully we get Coutinho sorted in the next day or two to help them.

I'm excited about this transfer. I remember noticing him when Rafa brought him into the team. He looked lightweight but I believe he has bulked up.

Italian Journo on Talksport saying we're willing to meet the 13m Euro asking price for Coutinho.

However he also says it's far from done and Southampton still in the hunt, although player prefers Liverpool(obviously)

Ok, show me your 11 with him in it?

Sterling ----------------------------- Suarez

Sturridge

'We'll shit'em'.

Other teams that is.

"Liverpool are weighing up a third offer for Coutinho, while Southampton are also understood to be monitoring the situation but have yet to make a formal bid." BBC 19:45

I'm not really into that. I never pigeon hole players into an eleven. Players might start in one position but I like to see them constantly move and interchange. I think we will see that now with a mix of Sterling, Suarez and Sturridge. Coutinho seems capable of playing in either of the wide roles or in an AM sense. He reminds me of Oscar at Chelsea. Tricky player with pace.

Ryan's Cub 🙂

Yeah, I agree Dee, but read the thread. It's a load speculation and next to fuck all in real info, so where's this assumption come from that we're not willing to pay an extra half a million, and why is that enough to call the owners fit to burn? Generated by a half wit who'll spend his next few posts moaning about why we spent £20m on Downing.

Yep, looks like it. About time.

"about time", oh do shut the fuck up you monotone drone.

You don't even know if it's fucking done. If haggling saves us a few million then it's good business sense. Forgive me if I take this "we're bullshitting over a couple of million" attitude with a pinch of salt, given you kicked fuck out of Dalglish for tossing money around on dross.

Ryan's Cub 🙂

Did Ryan start a club? I can picture it now ala The Little Rascals, big sign on the front saying, "No Dreamies Allowed".

I'm always a fan of player's interchanging roles and constantly moving. You'll rarely see me picking my preferred starting line up etc. I don't really have one.

Mark is more than a moderator. He is an administrator. He administrates rules, rather than moderates balance. He is the Rule.. you hear? 😉

Half wit!!! Dick head. I would moan about the 20m spent on downing as he was shit befjore we signed him, so was a waste of money. However, this kid is very good and has great potential, so I think we won't lose money on him.
