Philippe Coutinho, Part II

Surely the best thing is to meet half way between our valuation and theirs.... so around £9 Million.... Isn't that the way bartering always worked?

So not only is he gifted, but he wants to come to the better club? Yah, give 'em an extra million and we'll call it even.

It seems that Coutinho's price is fixed at 13m euros. It seems unlikely that they will sell for a lower price - especially as Liverpool, according to reports in Italy, have not bid more than 8m euros. That's a big gap.

I suspect the more important issue is how the payments will be structured. If we pay more upfront that could sway it.

This is all getting a little tedious...if he chooses Southampton it will be the stupidest thing!

He has a chance of becoming a first team regular at our club and playing alongside a very good bunch of players.

if theres a difference of 1.5-2m separating the two clubs from agreement we should just pay up...the boy is raw and green but could be developed into a top attacking talent!

We had a bid of 7,6 mill £ rejected which is about 9 mill€.

We might have to bid 11ish mill € to get him.
If the Paulinho deal goes through, then Inter will accept that imho, as they need the money

He doesn't have the chance until Inter accept our offer. If his options are to stay on the bench at Inter or to play regular first team football at Soton then moving there wouldn't be stupid at all.

Well Inter can't go for Paulinho until they sell alvarez or countinho.

They got no bids for Alvarez and will now sell Coutinho. Latest from Italy is that they will accept 12 mill euro.
If we bid 11 I think he's ours.

thats because alvarez is shit and everyone knows it. he's been awful at inter.

Spurs signing another attacking midfielder would be beyond bizzare, I suspect Sunny is on a wind up though.

I see someone on RAWK wanted to start a Coutinho rumour

Edit: And they did with this Spurs rumour, its BS

Rawk are the Sidney and Beatrice Webb of forums. They seem to take more pleasure at reinforcing their view that most other people are moronic lumpenproles than they do in seeing us actually sign a good player.
