Player of the year - RVP

Young player - Kyle Walker

Team -
Hart, Walker, Kompany, Coloccini, Baines, Yaya Toure, Silva, Bale, Parker, Rooney, van Persie

Maybe its me being biased but id have Skrtel in there ahead of Coloccini.

Thoughts?

Gareth bale can fuck off

Colocinni I can understand though. Newcastle are on course to Europe. A fantastic achievement

Voting for PFA awards takes place in Jan

Yaya/Silva/Bale havent had great second half the seasons

Bale hasn't been all that all season

Think he's still dining out on that night in Milan

How Dempsey isn't selected i'll never know. Toure was away for a month at the African Nations Cup too. It's quite bizarre seeing only one Man Utd player in there, usually it's dominated by them.

Did RVP mention how lucky he was not to have hit the post more often this season in his acceptance speech?

I almost spluttered my afternoon coffee all over my computer at that one.

United are top of the table but only have one player in that team! Strangely though it's hard to argue that they deserve to have more players in the team, it shows how great a job Ferguson* has done this season to put them in this position.

I honestly believe that there's not a lot of difference between the strength of our squad and United's and if Ferguson had managed our squad this season and Kenny had managed theirs I reckon the league positions would be reversed.

I hate, loathe & detest Ferguson because he's an utter scumbag but unfortunately he's a very good manager (the 2nd best ever in the English league in fact).

I like this post even though i slightly disagree with it.

Kyle Walker has been very good whenever I've seen him, he's going to be some player..

He was great for England at the U21 European Championships last year so he's got the tournament experience and after a great season i'd select him at right-back if i was the England manager. Left-back will be a tough call though after Baines' excellent season and an England favourite Ashley Cole under-performing.

I fail to buy into all this Scotee Parker midfield warrior bullshit all season too.
He's had 2-3 good games this season max.

Seeing a few of our former youngsters doing very well: Mikel San Jose in the Europa League semi-final, Darren Potter included in the League 1 Team of the Year and Gary Mackay-Steven nominated for the SPL Young Player of the Year award, were we too hasty in letting them go or have they found their level?

Potter has been decent this season but not as good as his teammate Gleeson and neither of them have been as good as John Welsh (also former LFC player) but he doesn't have the same quality around him at Tranmere as the MK Dons lads do.

For the record Potter & Welsh are both very good 1st Division players but that's all they'll ever be and we were right to let them go.

I ve seen more than 3 games this season where he's been excellent. In fact a lot more than 3.....double figures even.

Cabaye,Tiote,Ramires are just 3 who have been far more impressive than him this season but they're not British hence why they weren't even nominated.

Ferguson hasn't actually done anything, he's just enjoying that honeymoon period.

So can we expect the honeymoon to be over sometime soon in the future? We have been waiting like for aeons.
