I think there are a couple of people on here from Perth in Oz and was just wondering if any of ye could tell me any good pubs to watch pool matches in? Cheers

Are there good places to watch liverpool right now anywhere?

Hi l,,welcome to our fine establishment, I'll be pleased to gouge your eyes out. Shortly you'll be receiving opiates and hallicinogens and while you're watinng for those to kick in I've got a bevy of fine women to fellate you to exhaustion. Quietly in the background liverlpool will be losing.

Yea, is there one of those in Perth?

There's a place called Rosie O'Gradys in Northbridge that I know some LFC fans in Perth go to watch games.

Give me a call and see if they get much of a turn out?

hahaha. That's my kinda establishment. If you're gonna watch us lose that'd be the best way.

I watched the league game against man utd in the elephant & wheelbarrow in Perth if that's any help.

As usual with elephant & wheelbarrow the beer was very average.... But some crosses have to be borne.

Most of our games have been on Sunday night/monday morning..not the best time for pubs.

In Adelaide there is the Rosemount - Which i dont rate. Its a sports bar with a million screens showing sports from all over the world. There is quite a dodgy vibe there.
They show some of the games at the Casino too..

Ive not really found a pub to watch the games..

Pig n Whistle on Riverside in Brisbane is ace.

Always a great atmosphere there throughout the night.

And every other Saturday some dating website has their singles party before the matches kick off ... so drunk lonely hot milfs/girls + football = 8)

The imperial is the home for Liverpool supporters in melbourne & it opens for just about every game, even the midweek games.

It's dead handy for me...

*cough*

I don't think it's very damaged, I suspect very little damage if any at all - the owner of the place called into Sky News Australia and said his place was ok.

Plus we own a restaurant a stones throw from there which wasn't touched at all.

And its definitely the place to go and watch games, let us know if you do go - I'll most likely be there.

ETA: nevermind, saw your response to Gareth.

I'll have to find somewhere else to drink lest I run into Ryan.

Last time I went to see you, you informed the barmaid I was gay.

She'd still have fucked me though.

Hah!

Strap-ons don't count though...

Or do they????

Did you go yesterday?

Cheers for the offer, but I'm still pretty shattered and couldn't have stayed awake all day. Watched it on TV, some innings by Watson.

Nah! Took the opportunity to have a good lie in and do nothing instead.

Didn't even watch it. Completely forgot it was on.

Not much these days, but it is usually the place I'll catch up with friends.

Didn't get out to watch it in the end unfortunately. I watched last derby game in Imperial in Melbourne actually.
So who is actually in Perth then?

I'm in Perth mate but I couldn't advise you any better than others already have i.e. Northbridge. There are a couple of Irish bars in town, and O'Reillys in Leederville has a load of big screens.

How long have you been running it? I haven't been a 'regular' for at least 5 years now.

Tookmover about a year and a half ago, but worked here originally about 4 years ago - then was at the Portland on Russell Street for a while (same company).

We go the casino sports bar to watch the game sometimes. Its like watching a game in an airport lounge to me but least it stays open all night. Watched the 2007 champions league final in Mustang bar, that was good but I'm not sure if it's a regular occurrence. I'd like to know if there is anywhere better too.

I like rosies though. You can play guess the year the patron left the uk, based on what they are wearing. I saw a lad in a le coste tracksuit in there once. Made me laugh. It was 37 degrees.

Can safely say we've never met then. I'll keep an ear out for the accent next time I'm in.
Though I generally manage to con someone else into going to the bar for me. 😀
