Yep, the Gerrard one was a pen; he got the ball but not before he took the man out.
I thought the Suarez one was the right call tbh, though I have no doubt it was made for the wrong reasons. Looked a pen until you saw it in replay - remarkable tackle.
Tbh I've never seen those players dive. I think the main problem is that english refs just aren't used to seeing diving that often and so when they come across a serial cheat like Suarez they don't really know how to react.
How is that going to be possible ? - Duh !!!! We usually don't have enough players in that area where they can get a penalty - I am certain because Suarez is the only one trying to score for our team he gets knocked over a lot in the penalty area so refs are bound to think he is a diving cheating cunt (yes I know he partly is) but unfortunately thats the truth - we are not getting penalties because:-
1) not enough experience of doing a dive to fool the ref when required - acting is not great - Suarez is too Bollywood and needs to be more Hollywood.
2) not enough players actually try and score in our team - penalty box shyness
3) we just don't create the chances to get into the penalty box en-masse during normal play therefore there is NO decision for the ref to make to give a penalty.
Yes the above is bullshit and crazy to many of you but its the truth. Can you handle the truth ?
The Gerrard one was a definitely penalty. Especially considering when Tottenham scored from a free kick that was given for Dempsey being pushed over by a light breeze just minutes before.
The Suarez one, I'm not sure. When I first saw it looked like a great tackle.
