Pavlyuchenko for Babel...

I have such comprehensive pessimism at this point that even though I'm positive he'll never make it for us, I'd be worried he start playing wonderfully for them.

It seems a useful trade, however I'd rather we got rid of the type of shit that can't score goals, and got useful options, even if we have to pay. We've got plenty of that brand of shit to go around.

I really don't want to see him move to another Prem team for that reason.

Wont happen in a million years, so what's the problem?

Let him go and bring in someone who may actually contribute something.

Babel for glue.
No thanks, he can stay at Sunderland.

Put a sell on fee into his contract and if by some miracle he does succeed somewhere we might get some money back for him.

There's players I'd much rather see leave than Babel but I can see why Rafa would be attracted to the idea.

The Russian isn't a bad player and is more than capable of playing up front on his own. Although it must be said, his goal return is hardly prolific.

Hmm, I dunno.

Despite being in and out the Spurs team last season, he still managed 14 goals..

He's a Russian, slightly shorter, slightly quicker, slightly better Peter Crouch

But with a far worse work-rate and mentality

He scored 89 in 141 games for Spartak and 15 in 31 for Russia. Thats a decent scoring rate. If only we had a youtube video or someone with good FM knowledge to convince us of his obvious worth

Good summary. It's a measure of what we've come to that I'd still be in favour of giving this a try.

So really, he's nothing like Peter Crouch then.

With only 5 coming in the league out of 28 appearances, and 9 in domestic cups.

And Sunny, going back to his Spartak scoring record is like calling Dirk prolific because of his time in Holland. He's an alright player and I've suggested him before, but he hasn't settled in England yet, and I wouldn't get too excited.

Please.

Babel is one of the worst players to ever wear the red top.

Woeful.
Compared to Jimmy Carter he looks damn good.

If we were actually considering this swap between two uninspiring players that may be the tipping point between pessimism and depression.

I'm far from excited over this trust me.

Why would Tottenham like to have our dutch runner/rapper?
They're obsessed with turning a profit. Babel, at 21, offers them a much better financial prospect than a non-playing Pavlyuchenko.
