Reports coming from Brazil suggest that Liverpool have made their first acquisition of the Jurgen Klopp era and are set to pay close to £15m for Corinthians’ forward Alexandre Pato in January.
Although on loan at Sao Paulo since last year, Pato is a Corinthians player and, according to their president, Roberto de Andrade, the Merseyside club have agreed with them on a price for the 26-year-old’s services, which is said to be £14.3m

De Andrade told Tutto Mercato Web: "There is an agreement in principle with Liverpool for the transfer in the coming weeks. Pato had long expressed a desire to return to Europe.

"Liverpool await, there are a few missing details, but Klopp will have a new reinforcement and for Pato the Premier League will be a new springboard."

Nah

Pyar bullshit.

Metro are reporting it for fucks sake

Isn't this the same Pato that was on Milan's permanent injury list. Too risky imho.

from another site.......

I am Brazilian and a Corinthians fan, so I can tell you that I was very happy with the signing, and the only concern was for him to stay fit, which he did, but that was it. He played well a couple of games, but overall it was a disappointment

2014 he went on a loan to São Paulo, and he played well for them, this year as well... I'd say that in 2015 he was the best player of the team, but that wasn't very hard because their squad is a mess nowadays. But he clearly is not at a level to do well in a big European club, not in the Premier League for sure. His lack of interest in the game is irritating sometimes, and being this way in a big European league will mean failure.

Technically he is a level above here in Brazil, but the level here nowadays is not that great.

If Corinthians get lucky and sell him, it will be for a medium club like Fiorentina, Villarreal... but I doubt that will happen.

Benteke, Sturridge, Ings, Origi, Balotelli on loan, maybe Firmino. Add a permo-crocked striker, makes sense.

I don't see it happening. It makes zero sense
Yeh, this exactly, he'd be our 5th striker, and isn't he a little lazy too? Doesn't sound like a Klopp player at all to me, saying that, he's meant to be a good finisher, and most of Klopps BVB strikers were great finishers before anything else.

Before Klopp's arrival that wouldn't have been an argument I'd have made with any great confidence. I'm a fair bit happier about such things now. Klopp doesn't strike me as someone who will tolerate daft signings being foisted on him.

Pedullà stated that the negotiation is "well advanced", leaving "details", and points out that recently the president of Corinthians, Roberto de Andrade said in SporTV, believe you would not find it difficult to sell the striker on the transfer window January.

Wanted by the GloboEsporte.com report, the president denied, however, that there is an ongoing negotiation with Liverpool. He maintains that even has received something of the English club and kept this speech in an interview with SporTV just before the game against Coritiba at the Arena Corinthians:

"Nothing has arrived. I think it's some diverted, regular news. Concrete did not get anything" said Roberto de Andrade.

Remember that in the last transfer window in August, Manchester United and Tottenham have shown interest in the striker.

Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed forum, I have one thing I want you to consider.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca.

Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor.
Now think about it; THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!!

Why would a Wookiee, an 8-foot-tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of 2-foot-tall Ewoks?

THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!

But more importantly, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this thread?
Nothing.

Why are we buying a striker when we're lacking fullbacks and midfielders?
IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!

I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're sitting at home considering if this might be true, I want you to ask yourself, does it make sense?
NO!
Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed forum, IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!

If Chewbacca lives on Endor, YOU MUST REPUDIATE!

Always loved this goal. Thought he was going to be insanly good but injuries have really hampered his career. Doubt there is anything in this transfer regardless.

If I remember him correctly - I think he was supposed to be Brazil's white Ronaldo - was going to be one of the big superstars of world football. I actually think he would make a difference but if his injury record is as bad as you all make out then what's the point ? - all of our strikers are one game away from being injured every time we play OR are out injured already. The only thing I would add to this is that he played in Italy where strikers still probably get a lot of injuries due to their tradition of defending, maybe he might stay less injured if he played here.

What's Ernie said from Sesame Street? Sorry I mean Jamie Sanderson, he so called writes for the Metro doesn't he? Not that his word is gospel

Been changed on Wikipedia to a Liverpool player so it's official you guys.

He looked physically weak in Italy so fuck knows how he'll cope in the prem.

Lacazette has had a lackluster start to this season (only 3 goals) after signing that new contract. If he fails to make it to the Euros, he might be available for a relatively cheap sum.

I'm still convinced that he's the best emerging young striker in Europe alongside Icardi.

Chewbacca doesn't live on Endor. That's where I stopped.

He's a punt the way Balotelli was. And I thought we'd have learned from that by not buying such a player outright. A loan with a view to a perm move is the sensible option.
