So the LFC universe has changed this transfer window. OK, we didn't sign everyone we wanted to sign, but things have changed incredibly in terms of our team's attractiveness to the best players out there. VVD is a disappointment if, as it now seems, we can't sign. But he chose us over all of our competitors, including Chelsea and Arsenal and City if reports are to be believed. Lemar, similarly, apparently preferred us to Arsenal, a team who Suarez agitated to leave for, so superior their chances of competing seemed only a few seasons ago. Chamberlain not only wanted to leave Arsenal to come to us, he rejected an agreed deal with Chelsea so he could come to us.

Only a few years ago we struggled to bring players here, were a massively less attractive club to come to than the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, and coughed up our best players to our wealthier competitors. This transfer window has showed that things have changed. Things are looking brighter than they have in a very long time.

Let's not forget the Red Sox are playing the Yankees in a 4 game series in New York starting tonight with John Henry's boys holding a 5 and a half game lead at the top of their AL division.

Yay, let's not forget the rounders game!

We have all taken it up the arse in this window that is for certain folks. Played like a bunch of desperate supporters. FSG must just love Klopp !!!

I agree with the general sentiment.
Added to that is the fact that 4 of the other 5 have not had great transfer Windows either.

If Phil stays And performs then I expect top 4 minimum.
The problem is we need to keep getting brighter and better and I don't think we will improve massively on last season in terms of league position. That's the thing that annoys me the hard work on the pitch needs to be equalled with hard work negotiating for players and I kinda feel let down there

I'll see your Paradigm shift and raise you. Yes we shiould have signed more, but our best signing is happy (Klopp)

You want a really shit window? Try No CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, a club in massive debt and these lads

On the whole it was promising but everything can change so quickly,

Get dumped out of the CL early, finish 5th and we'll be in Arsenals boat next season losing Can, Coutinho and maybe even Mane.

This window was ripe for us to get big names and make a statement, feels like we kinda blew it.

I'm not saying we couldn't have done better, and coming out of the transfer window without a top centre back is criminal. But apart from the obvious attraction of the Spanish giants to players of a Latin persuasion, we seem to be vying with the big guns now for the best players, who, perhaps due to the Klopp factor, seem excited about the prospect of playing for us.
