Typically there's a bit of a bounce when a new manager is appointed midseason - regardless of who it is.

It might be enough for Sunderland considering how bad some others are.

There was no furore when he went to Swindon.

Oh and love the way the socialist Milliband, who's leaving politics for a better paid job in New York (another champagne Socialist then?) uses this as his excuse to slip out of the sinking ship.

Milliband was fucking off anyway, for him to use the "fascist" leanings of the new manager, which as vice chairman, he must have had some say in, is another example of the hypocrisy that exists from the left wing elite - do as we say but dont expect us to live as you should live. It was ever the same with communism.

So David, will you be sharing your new found additional wealth with your comrades?
 
Of course Italians have their own peculiar take on political categories - traditionally loads of people slightly left of centre have called themselves a 'communist' and some simple folk a bit right of centre have dubbed themselves 'fascists'. I've no idea what grasp Di Canio has on politics but I suspect it's extremely limp. Anyway, he's looniness transcends that particular field and I'm sure Sunderland will end up regretting having anything to do with him.

I don't really care about all this but I have noticed the abbreviation PDC doing the rounds a lot since Sunday. Everyone can fuck right off with all these AVBs and PDCs.....
 
Would it have made any difference if De Canio had announced himself to be a Socialist? I don't think anybody would have taken much notice. But if Fascism had Hitler and Mussolini, Socialism had Stalin, Mao Tse Tung and Pol Pot. All political "-isms" end up in terror and mass murder, if given their head.

Yeah us Swedes have been terrorising and mass murdering Finns, Norwegians and Danes for ages.
I just got back from a killing spree in Denmark. Rights to private property...give me a break.

Sweden is historically a socialist country and we've had a couple of socialist almost communist leaders like Olof Palme, Hjalmar Branting etc. Didn't lead to mass murders and terror.
