Will happen over the next 18 months or so.
Forget players, it’s all about the manager.
I’d sell Salah (he’s going anyway) in a heartbeat if it meant keeping Klopp. But would he stay even with a massive pay deal? Or is he defo off? And if so, who on earth are we going to get to replace him? It’s making me nervy…

Klopp ...
If I was a betting man, I'd say he's gone ... probably never to manage a big team again (his choice).
If I was a man who was made a believer by a man who loves the club as much as Shanks, Bob, Kenny, Rafa etc have, then I'd still hold out that maybe, just maybe, he wants the job just a bit longer.

I don't think Klopp will stay longer than 2024. I think the plan is to give Pep Lijnders the reigns when he leaves.

He'll leave, and after six months he'll be bored out of his gourd and he'll end up taking a job that comes along that suits him in a non German / English league.

We may well recruit from within. There isn't anyone who could come from outside and continue this.

Why a non German team?

Pure speculation but I don't think he'll go back to Dortmund and I don't think he'll want to set up against them.

There were talks of him taking over the national team after his sabbatical, whenever that will be.

I think he might fancy that.

I get the logic in that. He surely has all the know how as he’s been with Klopp and watched the master in action, but does he, or anyone else for that matter, have that drive, passion, energy, edge and subtle aggression that Klopp has? I think we need someone with the same kinda personality too. It’s a shame it may be too early for Stevie…

If you've watched any behind the scenes vids he seems just as passionate as Klopp. He does seem well liked by the players.

Ah ok may have missed those. He’s always seemed quiet and gentile when I’ve seen him?

I don't know why but I've got a sneaky feeling he will sign an extension. Not a long one. Possibly another year maybe 2 to take him to 10/11 years at the club.

I get the same vibe too.
This time last year I thought he was done and looked like a man who was tired of being a front man while rest of the upper management hid behind lack of defenders, funding and super league.
But since he got rid of his glasses, he looks younger and rejuvanated. I have nothing else to back this up with other than that.

I must be the only person that finds Pep Ljinders intolerable. He talks too much for someone who hasn't had any success as a manager

I think so too. We’re in a different position to Dortmund. We’re no longer selling players unless it’s on our terms, which he didn’t have back then. Plus he’s building his next squad and will want to see how he does with those players.

I don't know or particular care what Klopp does after he leaves, but I've always been in favour of giving him a sabbatical if it meant he would sign a new contract.

He's always spoken about being very settled in Liverpool/Formby and really enjoys living by the sea. I'm hoping it's a break from the game he needs rather than a break from Liverpool. He doesn't speak Spanish, or have any inclination to do so, so La Liga is out. I don't think he would manage Bayern, and Dortmund is just treading over old ground. He's already been there and done that.

He could live a nice life as the German national coach when that comes up. That's what I'd stick my money on.

I have absolutely no doubt that Klopp is gone. It sucks but weirdly it's also ok. He's always been open and upfront about his sabbatical which I respect. He'll probably manage Germany and I'll wish him luck. I'm just looking forward to him dropping the Mic as the Reds nab 21, Big Ears number 8 and Anfield Singing his name so loud on his last game you'll be able to hear it on Hubble.

I dont think he knows yet himself in all honesty. Its over 2 years until his contract is up and a lot can happen by then. I have a feeling he’ll extend for 2 more years.

It very much depends on his wife, he makes it no secret she has a huge say on where they end up as a family. If the wife and kids are happy in Liverpool I can see Klopp staying for another 2 years

Oh shit, he's going to start buying watches, sucking boiled sweets and managing Everton.

Jurgen Klopp cashed in on commercial deals to the tune of £6.7million last year as a lucrative source of extra income on top of his Liverpool salary.
The Reds' boss collects £16m a year from his wage packet at Anfield alone, but has boosted his personal earnings with a number of off-field ventures.
Having swiftly become one of the most recognisable sporting figures on the planet, Klopp has had no shortage of offers from companies looking to partner with him.
Among them have been chocolate bar makers Snickers, car manufacturers Opel, VR-Bank, financial consultants Deutsche Vermögensberatung, and TV service provider Sky.
His advisor, Marc Kosicke, said: "We decided that Jurgen stands for 'Made in Germany'.

Their report claims Klopp has to reject many of the offers extended to him, and donates heavily to charitable causes.
Klopp has also been seen in UK TV adverts for German beer brewers Erdinger - the scenes of which were filmed in a pub on Penny Lane, Liverpool, made famous by a song by The Beatles.

It was only in September that Klopp signed with sportswear giant Adidas despite Liverpool's sponsorship agreement with rival company Nike, suggesting his commercial income is likely to grow further.
