😱 😱 😱

Thanks for that.

On an important note - that lad in the red is a fucking disgrace. Jumping in like that is a fucking coward's thing to do, and shows absolutely no balls whatsoever.

No doubt he banged on post-game about how "it was in no way malicious, I've already telephone the poor cunt who's leg I snapped like a twig blah blah blah..." but it's fucking crocodile tears.

You jump into a tackle like that, and you're a cowardly cunt. End of.

Fucking hell. Horrific "tackle". Cunt should be banned for life. Seriously, that's the only way to stop this happening.

What can you do with that prick seriously though? People like him and Barton should never play football again, but they always do. Might aswell give a slap on the wrists and a cupcake, because in reality he'll just get a few games ban and claim he never meant it.

Thats grim, I hope I never see that again.

Last night’s eagerly anticipated match between Anderlecht and Standard Liege will be remembered for all the wrong reasons after a horror tackle from Axel Witsel on Anderlecht’s Polish right Marcin Wasilewski.

The tackle came midway through the first half and earned Witsel a straight red card.

We can now expect Wasilewski to miss at least the rest of the season and reports in Belgium question whether he will ever play again.

BRUSSELS (AFP) - Anderlecht player Axel Witsel became public enemy number one here Monday a day after putting Standard Liege's Marcin Wasilewski in hospital with a broken ankle and facing a year out of football.

Wasilewski, 29, underwent an operation after the 1-1 league draw on Sunday to reduce the fracture but, with an injury similar to the horrific one suffered by Arsenal's Eduardo in February 2008, he is expected to go under the knife again next week.

His club Standard, the defending league champions from the French-speaking city of Liege, said the defender could be out for a year meaning he will miss the World Cup finals if Poland manage to qualify.

Witsel meanwhile was put through the wringer by the country's press, which is believed to be partly because he is considered a great hope for the future having won the Golden Boot trophy for the best player in the Belgian championship in 2008.

Flemish-language newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws was one of several that put the story on their front pages, calling Witsel's challenge an "absolute disgrace", while French language paper Le Soir called Witsel's gesture a "moment of madness".

Witsel quickly apologised for the horror tackle but the 20-year-old Belgian international was shunned by some of his teammates and the club's sponsor was so shocked it released a statement hitting out at the player.

Witsel will appear at a disciplinary hearing at the Belgian football federation (URBSFA) on Tuesday and is expected to be handed a lengthy ban.

Shocking. It's one thing mistiming a tackle, it's one thind "doing" someone, but that right there is assault and he has potentially ruined another man's career. CUNT

This is really sickening. I'll be waiting for news on the Belgian FA's decision/action. (On a sidenote, the journalist/editor ought to do much better than this.)

Would we really be saying what a cuntish tackle it was or that he's a dirty bastard if it was one of ours and the target was gary neville? I wouldnt :-*

EDIT: Not that im trying to justify it...im not...but when I saw his leg I instantly thought why couldnt that happen to cunts who deserve it.

After hearing the news about Wasilewski's almost career ending injury, Poland coach Leo Beenhakker told media on Monday that the FIFA World Cup 2010 Qualifier against Northern Ireland will be dedicated to the Polish left back.

"Something like this is not very easy to take in. We were counting on Marcin to play a part in the World Cup Qualifier's. The team will play against Northern Ireland for him." said Beenhakker.
